DarWin – Five Steps on the Sun
June 14, 2024
Overall, this was a delightful album where the collection of well-known musicians took favor in songwriting over wild musicianship. They showed restraint from the skills taking over the vibe on the album, which was a collection of smooth, easy-listening tunes that will start your day positively.

Sacri Monti – Retrieval
June 11, 2024
This was an excellent album, and the band presents a very genuine sound here crossing the barrier between the sounds of yesteryear, and the modern sound of today. There are also excellent musicians, and present their skills within the context of the music, which always takes center stage.

Kissing Lilith
June 7, 2024
The breaking point for me was when her sister was “kidnapped by drug dealers” and while she was also trying to convince me that “the house of blues manager” wanted to talk to me about a music project I had just announced. I realized that it was all one lie after another and I didn't want to be with someone who was only going to hold me back and add extreme unnecessary stress to my life.
review
Hail Spirit Noir – Fossil Gardens
June 4, 2024
This album expertly balances two opposing concepts: light and hope, and darkness and despair. But it’s more than just maintaining a balance. At times, they have to let one side break through and then the other, because as a listener, this keeps you engaged. Their musicianship is fantastic, and the album was carefully crafted.
review
Lee Aaron - Tattoo Me
May 29, 2024
Let me state that the voice of LEE AARON hasn’t suffered too much during her aging process, so still sounds quite strong. That makes listening to a full album a lot easier, as you never have to worry if she is going to hack it or not.
review
Moonin Down - The Third Planet
May 29, 2024
A Stoner/Psychedelic Rock Italian act releases a very good work.
review
Leather Lung – Graveside Sin
May 23, 2024
The songs are genuine, sometimes fun, but in that debauchery sense of fun…fun that leads to trouble. They present their album with an “up your ass” approach, and why shouldn’t they? The production is excellently sludgy, and it’s blue collar music with white collar style and attitude.

Sullvation – The Beginning of the End
May 10, 2024
My hometown of Chicago is known for many amazing worldly contributions including pizza, Italian beef, diverse culture, world class architectural and yes, our sports teams, and also has a huge history of influential music with blues, opera, jazz and rock, so with their debut release “The Beginning of the End” one of our very own SULLUVATION will try and continue that tradition.

Fargo - The Early Years (1979 - 1982)

A good release for older fans that want to complete their collections, and to the younger ones to know the band's Hard Rock/Rock 'n' Roll roots.
review

King Zebra – Between the Shadows
May 5, 2024
The country of Switzerland is famous for chocolate, skiing, watch making and zebra’s….ok, not zebras, so let’s see if KING ZEBRA can add that to the list with their latest hard rocking release “Between The Shadows”.
review
Darkestrah – Nomad
May 1, 2024
This was a solid album. Black Metal elements blend smoothly with Doom elements until as a listener, you aren’t sure how to feel. On one hand, blinding rage, and on the other, utter despair. It is these types of feelings that the album imparts.

review
Sykofant – Syhofant
April 20, 2024
One of the tenants of Progressive music is that it expands existing stylistic boundaries associated with specific genres of music. This album definitely fits that definition. It borders on pretentious at times, but what saves it is the band’s obvious affinity for expressing themselves openly. A couple of the songs are unnecessarily long, and there is a lot to unwind, but there is a lot to like here on the quartet’s debut album.

review
Lhaäd – Beneath
April 17, 2024
Like the deep blue tones in the album cover, and the mysterious creatures that swim in the depths, the serene cover is not what it seems. This is deeply disturbing in every good meaning of that phrase. This album paints a dismal and barren landscape of eternal suffering.

Jack Brain – Designing Chaos
April 17, 2024
This type of music can be done one of two ways in my opinion. The first way is to go all in on the dissonance…embrace it, push it, and let it fill your ears with the sweet sounds of dismay. The second way, and that it what we have here, is to guise the dissonance by trying to push vocal melodies, but when that fails, what we have left is an awful sound.

April 16, 2024
A young boy grows up in Canada and turns his passion to music instead of hockey, and with that passion strives to deliver a unique and eccentric sound drawing inspiration from a personal journey of self-discovery.
