I really enjoyed the album. As I mentioned before, it’s all about that precarious balance that on one side keeps the listener from being overly excited, and on the other side, keeps them from falling into the abyss. It’s a skill that the band plays with quite well.

It’s so weird, nearly to the point of being alien, that even if you don’t like it or it isn't normally isn’t your style, I think it will still be an engrossing experience that will pull you until the very last second.

HERESIARCH’s “Edifice” has impressed the hell out of me and I wonder where this band has been all my life. Any fan of music that is constantly against the grain and pushing itself to the next level needs to check this out.

I like the combination of filthy Black Metal with the Speed and Thrash Metal of the past. Although they aren’t creating anything new necessarily, the sound is authentic, and it blasts right through your ears with fire and passion. These riffs will stick around your head for a while as well.

....isn’t a bad album but it’s missing something to really propel to higher highs. I’m confident the band will nail down their formula so I will be watching for their sophomore album.

Ultimately, while I don’t think “Darkest Time's” is terrible, it just isn’t exciting to me and didn’t keep my interest. It’s a solid melodic death metal album but nothing more. I definitely hear the band’s potential so I will keep them on my radar and see how they expand upon their vision.

All in all, “Life But In Reverse” is a strong debut album from a band that seems to have a bright future with their broken, dismal sound. I’ll be happy and miserable to watch them grow from here.

It isn’t an album where you are going to find these standout moments that will call for the rewind button to play over and over. It’s better than that, the depth and layered substance is something that works best from start to finish, or at least a song or two at once. This isn’t an album about picking and choosing what works best: everything comes together for an incredible experience.
