...and the Void Started Back
Vigil
This is an incredible debut album and I look forward to seeing how they can expand upon this sound, I feel they can be a truly have the potential to make a next level release.
Gehenna
Rossometile
Gehanna” is a multi-layered album, that includes elements from traditional symphonic Metal, operatic elements, a few industrial vibes, and traditional Folk elements
Oblivion’s Legacy
Ancient Settlers
ANCIENT SETTLERS deliver a decent melodic Metalcore album with some melodic Death Metal twists
Stolen Pictures
Fughu
Like DREAM THEATER, the band seems to possess a veritable well of creativity that they only partially unleash on the album. They have a flair for the dramatic, as well as a sense of simplicity on the album. Their musicianship is very strong, as is their confidence, and both play out equally in this uniquely pleasing sound.
Hellspawn
Immortal Sÿnn
Promising to deliver “old school” classic rock with a dash of thrash tossed in, IMMORTAL SYNN from the land of the Rocky Mountains brings us their latest EP “Hellspawn”.
In het Heemskerks duin
Duindwaler
Hate raged strongest for me, but there were other sounds like depression and despondence present. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a lot of diverse sounds. The band found what they liked and went with it. Take some chances, I advise, even little ones.

Emsee
Dislimn
Soul is the word that comes to mind when listening to the album. This is what the band pours into each composition. The music and vocals are expressive, and the album makes the listener think, deeply.
A Game of Whispers
Age of Distraction
The ebb and flow of the album, over long hills and jagged cliffs will have the listener on the edge of his seat. Although the energy and spirit on the album are often charged, there are also very tender and emotional moments that draw you in and give you pause. Their musicianship is also fantastic, but at their core, they are wonderful songwriters and storytellers.
Death Control
Azell
This album is at the very deep end of Sludge and Doom Metal, the point you reach that if it were to be any deeper or extend even an inch further, you would be swallowed by the darkness.
Age of Grief
ClearxCut
What I like about the album is the band’s political stance and their principles. But supergroups, or projects consisting of well=known band members, often do not get off the ground in my experience. It isn’t a total loss, but it just sound tired and uninspired to me.
Patterns of Domination
Backstabber
The band has the talent, the energy, the confidence, and the drive, but what they really need is to think outside of the box a little more. They need to create something that is entirely their own, rather than relying on formulas used in the past.
Vía Purgativa: Qui Spiritu Diaboli Aguntur Hi Filii Satanae Sunt
Black Hate
They have all the right ingredients to be a solid Black Metal band, a screechy voiced singer, a powerful and thunderous drummer, and the right song titles, reflecting many anti-religious themes. They have energy as well, but the riffs are trite, and the sound too much like so many of their peers.
Graveside Sin
Leather Lung
The songs are genuine, sometimes fun, but in that debauchery sense of fun…fun that leads to trouble. They present their album with an “up your ass” approach, and why shouldn’t they? The production is excellently sludgy, and it’s blue collar music with white collar style and attitude.

The Search Won’t Fall…
Critical Defiance
High quality Thrash.
Visions of Collapse
Liminal Shroud
This was an excellent album that reflected the themes listed above of the dissolution of spirit and the worthlessness of life. Some days, we all have these feelings, and the album hits you hard in that manner.
A Mass to the Grotesque
The Troops of Doom
And the Brazilian Death/Metal Lords are back with a true masterpiece"
The Exit Garden
The Wizards
This Hard Rock/Heavy Metal from the 70s's Spanish band has a very good work, indeed.
Human Farm
Rhino
A fine Stoner Metal release from this Italian band.
Ecclesia Militans
Ecclesia
This French Doom/Heavy Metal sextet is really great, so hear and join the inquisition!
Shadow Soul
Dead Head
A load of experience of 35 years is what is depicted in the new release of this Dutch Thrash Metal quartet.
The Cold New Regime
Cryoshock
This Swedish Death Metal trio's album shows how the genre still has some surprises to show!
Maze Envy
Civerous
A Doom Death Metal release with a lot to offer.
Eli: A Wonderful Fall from Grace
Teramaze
Those who are familiar with the band know how talented they are, and they can cut loose with the best Progressive bands. Restraint is the name of the game on this album. It takes much more of an ego to focus on songwriting instead of a bevy of time changes and an overwhelming display of musical prowess. Their prolific songwriting as of late has showed a band that has honed in and hunkered down, and this album is wonderful.
Absence of Time
RivetSkull
Wow, what a great album this US Metal acts created!
Wheel Of Fortune
Grand Slam
This quartet comes with a Hard Rock masterpiece!!
Infinite Reminiscence
DVRK
Listening to the album, you can clearly understand why the songs are so short, because the band packs in the sound so tight and dense, and they pour in a century of hate into each composition. This music is not for the faint of heart.
Mochari
Machukha
The album feels like a visceral portrayal of humanity being overwhelmed by the harshness of the world. Each track plunges the listener into a sonic landscape where raw intensity and unrelenting soundscapes mirror the struggle and resilience of the human spirit against relentless adversity. The music envelops you, creating an experience that is both profound and unsettling, capturing the essence of a world that is unforgiving.
Vertigo
Psyanide
“Vertigo” is a decent mixture of Death Metal and Groove Metal including a few other Death Metal styles
Toxic Grace
Evil Dead
“Toxic Grace” has all the ingredients of traditional Thrash Metal, and it is a smart mixture of aggressive tracks at fast pace, and melodic doom-laden mid-tempo tracks
Sacraments of Necromantical Empires
Lunar Spells
All in all, LUNAR SPELLS’s “Sacraments of Necromantical Empires,” is a solid listen, if unremarkable. If you like raw black metal, you could do worse than listening to this album.
Mind Burns Alive
Pallbearer
All in all, PALLBEARER’s “Mind Burns Alive,” is an highly emotional AND impressive tour de force. It’s intense in a lot of different ways and I enjoyed my time with it. With that being said, I can understand why some fans aren’t going to like it. Give this one a chance and let it really sink in. “Mind Burns Alive,” deserves your time and patience.
Stories To Forget
Words Of Farewell
“Stories To Forget” is a bag of everything ranging from heavy and powerful to overly melodic and melancholic parts
Killing For Revenge
Six Feet Under
“Killing For Revenge” is a fast, aggressive, and intense hammering anf one of the Death Metal highlights of 2024 so far
