Smoking Snakes – Danger Zone
March 11, 2024
The band name is bad ass, their look is bad ass and they hail from Sweden, the hot bed of bad ass hard rocking bands, so I’ll add this bad ass joke: I tried smoking snakes but couldn’t keep them lit (sorry).
review
Cruzh – The Jungle Revolution
March 11, 2024
Sweden, the country that gave us delicious tiny meatballs, but also gave us IKEA which I cuss them out every time after It takes me hours to put together a simple little book case and still have parts left over and can only calm myself down by remembering just how many fantastic rock bands the country has produced as well, so I’ll go into this review with high hopes for the Swedish rockers CRUZH.

Unaussprechlichen Kulten – Häxan Sabaoth
February 28, 2024
In the annals of Black Metal, which I have explored thoroughly, the album just doesn’t stand out for me. Although the first few songs were interesting, the remainder of them took on a similar sound. The production is also very raw and amateur sounding, which I am guessing was on purpose. It wasn’t horrible, but also wasn’t that good.

review
Emerald Rage – Valkyrie
February 16, 2024
EMERALD RAGE has the ability to use a lot of influences and sounds and mix them up in such a way that it stays interesting all through the album. That does mean that for over 53 minutes you will be concentrating on everything that the band is throwing at you.
review
Blacklist Union – Letters From The Psych Ward
February 12, 2024
From the outside, “Letters from the Psych Ward” looks very plain, very middle of the road. Happy to admit that I was wrong.

review
Lustmord – Much Unseen Is Also Here
February 2, 2024
For me, the album was as mysterious and amalgamous as the cover art. If you are old enough to remember, it sounds a lot like I-Dosers…something that takes root inside your soul and slowly turns it black.

OMEN are a typical US Heavy and Power Metal band that comes from Los Angeles. They have had two lives. The first one from 1983 until 1989. In that time they released four studio albums, of which the one I am reviewing today, “Escape To Nowhere”, is the last in line, originally released in 1988.
