25/7
Lagerstein
Australia is becoming a great scene for Metal/Rock bands once more, after long years of silence (for those that are foreigners, not for Australian people, please), but there are many good bands arising from the lands down under since some years ago. And the Pirates of LAGERSTEIN come for one more act of piracy with "25/7". Their musical work is a form of Folk/Heavy Metal that comes to be funny and really charming for the ears. It's filled with excellent melodies and great choruses, but the energy that flows from each track is something really amazing. It's truly something different from the usual, creating a funny and aggressive ambience, with those Folk music elements to give the right ambiance for their songs, and the result is really very good.
Fredrik Nordström is the producer of "25/7", and his name is a guarantee that everything was done on the mix and mastering to sound loud and clear to our ears, but obviously with the right amount of weight. Yes, everything sounds great on the album, and the instrumental tunes were chosen wisely. The album's songs speak for themselves, creating a very good experience for the listener. And they had chose to work in a way that the listener can assimilate easily their melodies, so be prepared for the assault imposed on "Midnight Moonshine" (very good and heavy song, presenting very good vocals), the amazing energy of "Dig, Bury, Drink!" (fine keyboards parts) and on "The Wild West", the funny outfit of "Shoey Song", the Reggae touches used on "Pina Colada Paradise", the Folk/Epic energy shown in bass guitar and drums on "Off the Map", and the charming and accessible melodic arrangements of "25 Hours". But the entire album is really very good.
Let piracy begun, and let LAGERSTEIN lead you into it with "25/7"!
