Pride & Joy as part of their Pride & Joy Classix series have re-released three albums from Swedish Glam, Melodic Group Osukaru “Transition, House Of Mirrors and Star bound" .Limited to 300 copies “House Of Mirrors” was originally released in 2018.With roots in classic stadium rock, the first few releases had a more pure clear AOR feel to them. with “House Of Mirrors” Osukaru started to gain a unique ,harder yet melodic sound. Founding member Oz Hawe Petersson quoted as saying "Transition' and 'House of Mirrors' have both been out of print for a long time" Oz says, "and when we released 'Starbound' a few years back, we got a lot of requests from people all over to put them back on the market. What a wonderful thing! I never would have anticipated that." .A new Osukaru album is due in the first half of 2025.

After an intro “Past the Present” which is mainly synth and guitar based almost video game esq “You've Been Waiting” a mid tempo very melodic track kicks this album off in style slightly heavier guitar riff driven with some great runs & solo, great rhythm with great melody to suit.”Ritual” has some big pounding drums, the deep bass line which kicks in this stonker of a guitar riff, that makes the song super catchy.” Ain't Too Late (For Love) “ has some rich powerful vocals, again a very strong melodic rock track ticks all the boxes. ”X Marks The Spot” a much rockier track with Oz Hawe Petersson delivering yet another infectious guitar riff, with a very cool chorus the melody, the groove, the chorus just goes around in your head. The power ballad of the album “Until Forever Ends” has that nostalgic style which builds into a powerful chorus & then we get the guitar solo, very well delivered musically and flawless vocals from Fredrik Werner. “All Guns Blazing” and “MacGyver It “ have that stadium/arena hair metal sound of the 80's they are powerful, punchy very melodic which ooze quality, remind me in style of the likes of Warrant, Trixter and Danger Danger. ”Inception” Feat. Anna Savage is a great duet two powerful voices which blend seamlessly to deliver yet another melodic rock gem, the saxophone is a nice touch. “Felicity Drive” is a great smooth AOR track for that summer day cruising in your car windows down, also reminding me a bit of those theme tunes you hear on TV shows such as Bay Watch, CSI that sort of thing or that movie soundtrack. The two bonus tracks which are instrumental demos of “MacGyver It “ and “Ritual”

Osukaru “House Of Mirrors” is another great album which I'm sure is a welcome reissue by Pride & Joy, which I myself and fellow Melodic Rock fans will welcome with open arms Osukaru have that knack of delivering killer songs with catchy choruses, infectious melodies which you can't forget in a hurry. If these guys had been around in the 80's they would have been huge.
