Awakening
Swansong
Fans of traditional melodeath will love "Awakening", and SWANSONG have the potential to become a serious force in the crowded melodic Death Metal market
Bats
Gama Bomb
GAMA BOMB have been able to turn this manic mixture of bands into an amalgamation of very good songs that cover a wide variety of styles and intensities, whilst making sure that the diversity is brought to us listeners in a way that you will easily be able to recognise GAMA BOMB as the perpetrator of your ears.
The Great Tribulation
Elm Street
ELM STREET hail from Melbourne in Australia, and simply said, on “The Great Tribulation” they play Melodic Metal with Hardcore style vocals with added little snippets of Speed and Thrash Metal. That does sound as a very interesting mix, doesn’t it?
Blood, Bone, and Fire
Destructor
If you have too much energy, and you wish to shed some of it whilst headbanging, slamdancing or moshing, then I suggest you give “Blood, Bone and Fire”, the latest album by DESTRUCTOR a serious go. The high-octane Old School Heavy Metal with Speed Metal parts and Thrash Metal influences will have you going within seconds.
Night Time Riders
Wicked Smile
: Get ready for high voltage classic hard rocking from the land down under.
Angel in the Dark
Freakstorm
For a cover band to evolve into a rock band with their own sound and personality is quite a feat and also deliver on a high level is another thing. Can FREAKSTORM be that band?
No Love Lost
Year of the Knife
There is an overreliance on heavy, simple riffs, and the second is vocals that are sung (shouted) in nearly the same key in every song. Third and final, is a lack of anything to distinguish the songs from one another. The result is a mediocre album at best.
Unite and Conquer
Immortal Guardian
The best part of the album for me was the band’s strong musicianship. They are adept at every instrument and the vocalist has some set of pipes. At times however, the songs can border on the cheesy side of music, but what Power Metal band doesn’t straddle that line every now and again.
Rainmaker
Sigir
SIGIR is a Melodic Death Metal band from Finland. “Rainmaker” is the band’s debut album, […]

The Seven Seals of Saligia
The Negative Bias
The Austrian Black Metal DNA is alive, as heard on this excellent album!
Isolation
Symphony Towers
This very good Heavy/Power Metal work shows the vitality of Brazilian scene of the genre.
Undivided
Signum Regis
If you question if there's life left on Heavy/Power Metal after the last trend, you must hear to this album NOW!
Satanik Overdose of Hell
Satan Worship
This album is really a Thrash/;Black Metal blow in the stomach!
Destin Cruel
Cruel Fate
A brutal and nasty Death Metal release from this Death Metal Canadians!
Luminescent Bridge
Blood Incantation
This quartet is opening news ways into Death Metal, and this Single is great!
By Will Alone
Alchemy of Flesh
Brutal and technical, this Death Metal release is able to make your ears bleed!
Suffocating In The Current Of Time
Praise The Plague
” Time” might be the greatest paradox of all, seeming to be completely useless when considering the world beyond Earth, yet absolutely critical to most human’s daily lives. What the album does for me in sum is make me wonder what else might be out there that I am allowed to question. For now, however, I will continue on like a rat in a maze.
Peine Kapital
Peine Kapital
Although all four songs are similar in length, scope, and sound, their effect on the listener can’t be underscored. The heavy, sludgy sound is so thick and deep, it builds at your feet to the point where there is no escape. It is desolation personified.
As Torment Prevails
Martyrdoom
The riffs are loud and disgusting, but not overly. The vocals are growls with just enough hints of depravity to them without being comical.
The Primitive Covenant
Cirkeln
I loved being surprised by how good an album is, especially when I don’t know the band and it's this late in the year. “
The Primitive Covenant
” is a very impressive album and it will appeal to a wide range of metalheads. This is definitely one of the freshest sounding albums I’ve heard in this last half of the year.
Helgrindur
Helgrindur
All in all, this certainly isn’t a bad album because it does have several catchy choruses and the melodies really pop but beyond that, it didn’t really stick with me as much.
Echoes of Ancient Past
Empire of Euphrates
I’d like to see what they can do with a full length and more thought put into the songs. It may not be my cup of tea but the band definitely has potential.
The Names of Power
One Master
ONE MASTER, “The Names of Power,” a solid USBM offering to round off the year.
Commandoccult
Trenchant
With 100+ armed conflicts raging today, “Commandoccult” is a befitting statement of our time.
Inspiratio Profanus
Dimmu Borgir
This was a decent selection of cover songs for the band to process, showing their take on the classics that influenced them. But I felt the selection could have been much better…maybe some KISS, RUSH, PRIEST, or even some different Black Metal bands from back in the day? It was an honest take on these classics, but didn’t show enough flavor or character for me.
Depths
Abhoria
The progressions…the meters…the unusual connections, or even lack thereof. All of these things make for a unique listening experience. However, some of the songs run together a bit, so the band could work to diversify their approach.
As Daylight Dies
Gods Of Gaia
GODS OF GAIA have a very good start to their career and fans of symphonic Death Metal will be delighted with “As Daylight Dies”.
Chasing Euphoria
Lutharo
“Chasing Euphoria” manifests the signature sound of LUTHARO and will establish the band as a serious Power Metal force with a unique sound.
Twist of Faith
Silent Tiger
Take a trip back to the days of classic/melodic rock with a fresh modern twist.
Apocrypha
Nikki Stringfield
Hard rock and heavy metal has always pretty much a “sausage fest” dominated by men wearing tight leather or spandex driving motorcycles, chugging whiskey and singing about their sexual conquests, but that’s all changed over the past twenty years or so with a welcomed influx of amazing female led bands and now Nikki Stringfield throws her hat (or guitar) into the ring and comes out with guns a blazing.
Neptunian
Winterhorde
I get the themes, and the connections between the songs, and the band clearly have taken some serious time to compose this album. The songs are complex, and a lot of thought went into the album. But it did not resonate with me, at all.
Anti-Dogma Megaforce
Barbarian Swords
Black metal with a little bit o' swag.
Prick
Deth Kaktus
A bunch of pricks from New Jersey make thrashcore for the 21st century.
May the Night Fall
Svartkonst
Svartkonst puts the metal gods on notice.
