Witchcurse - Still Evil album cover

"Still Evil" is a 4-song cassette EP by the Greek Metal band WITCHCURSE released after their first album "Heavy Metal Poison". It includes two new songs, "I'm No Fool" and "Way Of Life", plus two songs from the "Heavy Metal Poison" album. WITCHCURSE's sound is heavily influenced by a chunky dosage of NWOBHM.

Both new songs are following the typical NWOBHM form, with great solos, dual harmonies, a lot of powerful riffs and easy to remember choruses. "I'm No Fool" stuck in my head for a long time. The other two songs are following the same up-tempo style.

Comparing the older songs with the newer ones in the EP, there is a distinct difference in the production and vocals. Possessed seemed to have improved his singing in the new songs. The production is also better but still old school. Finally, the band shows a better approach in the songwriting on the new tracks than before. This EP is a great chance for Metalheads to know this band. If WITCHCURSE continues like that, the new album will be a killer.
