Web - Everything Ends album cover

The Portugal Metal scene has an incredible musical diversity.

Since the coming of the first names from the lands of Tejo river, and the greatest of them all (of course we are speaking about MOONSPELL), more and more bands are coming from that lands, and the ample range of musical diversity is excellent. Every Metal style has a name on Portugal.

But interesting is to see a veteran from the 80s, as WEB coming with their third album only now, the explosion of Thrash Metal adrenaline called "Everything Ends".

Founded in 1984, these veterans are still dripping musical aggressiveness from their songs. It's an explosive, strong and actualized form of Classic Thrash Metal, in the same vein of North American bands as TESTAMENT and MEGADETH, but with a bitter and modern aggressive insight. And this is really incredible, in a moment when guys born from the 90s to now are trying to sound as in the 80s. This is a clear proof that you can do an Old School Metal sound with a modern quality.

And be prepared, because "Everything Ends" is a massive storm of insane guitar riffs, very good work on rhythmic session, and screamed aggressive vocals. And it's different; it reminds in some moments, the work from Brazilian Thrash Metal snakes from WOSLOM.

The sound quality is very good. It mixes perfectly aggressiveness, weight and clearness, so the songs of "Everything Ends" flows from our speakers in a strong and clean way, and the tunes used by guitars, bass guitar and drums are really good.

The album is truly excellent from its beginning to its end. And as their best songs, I suggest you to hear the bitter and worked "Vendetta" (slow and heavy, what is strange for a first track of an album, but it is truly excellent, with excellent vocals and fine work on bass guitar and drums), the raping of your ears by the thunderous and slow riffs on "God of Nothing", the impact that the alternating tempos on "Taking the World" offers (with very good work on the guitars, especially the solos), the hooking "All Turns to Dust" (where the modern aggressiveness is more evident due some good rhythmic variations), the both parts of "Everything Ends" (two different tracks with the very same wonderful work of the entire band), and bitter and slower "New Beginning" (where some excellent melodies arise from the guitars).

These veterans must stay active as long as they can, because WEB has many to offer than many newcomers in Thrash Metal.

Os saúdo de todo coração, queridos irmãos de além-mar.
