Vortex Of End

Black Metal, one of my dearest loves. I have been a black heart since my early teens, and it is always quite thrilling when I can antagonize a new band. Here we have VORTEX OF END's latest full length album, "Fvlgr.Lvx.Terror".
The intro sounds like something out of one of those super gory horror movies. It's actually kind of creepy. When the music kicks in, it almost reminds me of a Gore Grind sound. As track 2 takes over, it can be noted that this band is Black Metal, but definitely has a lot of Death Metal influence. The guitar work is heavy, but somewhat ambient. The drums are definitely ferocious. With all the tempo changes, it becomes clear that these guys like their breakdowns.
There is a bit of variety when it comes to the vocals. The clean vocals are kind of Thrashy, while the harsh are that typical Black/Death Metal growl. They sort of remind me of the likes of BEHEMOTH or BELPHEGOR.
Although you can certainly tell that there influence is not strait Black Metal, the music is that atypical Extreme Metal sound. That is not to say that they sound like any other band specifically. I have listened to the album several times, and really wish I had more to say about it. It IS enjoyable to anyone with the taste for the heavy shit, but it's just typical. I bet they would be awesome to catch live, I will attend if they play my area.<
