I am proud to present to you: TORTURED; signed via Comatose Records, hailing from Spanish/French/Russian grounds - performing Death Metal, on their debut full-length studio album entitled: "Genetically Engineered Monstrosity" (released July 7th, 2023). Since formation in 2019; the quartet in question have a demo entitled "The Limb Collector", and a debut full-length studio album of which I am introduced to. 9 tracks ranging around 30 minutes; TORTURED arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death Metal developments.

Opening up with this synthetic shroud of possessed symbolism; "Bathed In Pus" belts a clobbering foundation in brutal bestiality and boisterously bouncy adrenaline, blistering eardrums with rampantly rompy thuds of sturdy distortion... bludgeoning heads with reverberating rumbles of trembling maliciousness. Manifesting this malignantly pugnacious snarl of scouring sulfurate & profusely robust slabs of solid seamlessness that utilises bleeding gutturals from Flo Butcher who unleashes these throaty yells of raspy pig squeals within the next rager "Raised By Punishment", nothing but gnarly extremity fabricates a dense calamity in a barraged frenzy of meltdown tremolo patterns that distil a chiselling bombardment in berserking but bulldozing volatility that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs in no time.

A dexterously dynamic substance on organic slaying maelstrom technicality rifts with thunderous slams within the rampaging "Human Bait", where primitively raw punchiness unleashes this rapidly swift nimbleness on ominously jarring meatiness which strife's with monolithic tempo and concretely gritty bass audibility from flickering thumpers Alexandre Giorgi & Oscar. Both conjure up towering systematics on ruthless pandemonium & blasphemous injections in infectiously venomous rips that shred with hostile flair that tears through you with pummelling pounds while rambunctiously piledriving you with sonically seamless synergy, showcasing this fierce firepower expertise... this visceral versatility on vehemently bruising beatdowns element at a groovy distinction in the stampeding striker "Mushed Up".

The titular track renegades with more vicious implementations in chuggy hooks and galloping frolics, as "Barbaric Impalement" harnesses a diabolical ferocity in intense brutality that trailblazes with persistently persevering pursuits on striking revocation which lacerates heads impactfully and bashfully... like a morbid maniac out for devastation. "Boiled To Death" does just that, incinerates unexpected souls with wrathful combustion and crescendo building tremolo weight that's punchy whilst menacingly tight with mettle chunks amongst impactful impulses that scourge with stompy drum hammerings from Frank Smith... supplying salubriously steely precious that will swelter through you with vigorous slappage.

The penultimate banger "Devouring What's Left of You'' exterminates souls with more rigorous momentum, malignantly & malevolently with oppressive force in relentlessly pulverizing tonality that just razes the roof off with trudging demolition in which will throttle heads into banging oblivion... on top of things. Overall concluding "Genetically Engineered Monstrosity" with the finale epic "Gruesome Chastisement"; I am compelled to say that TORTURED did absolutely just that, desecrate bodies and groove-bomb them with well... genetically engineered monstrosity. Worthy of spinning & replaying a good bunch of times should you fancy a healthy dose of some abominably abhorrent Death Metal virulence to surge through your maniacally demented bones to thrash to, an enjoyably entertaining discovery makes this an experience worth raging to - do check it out.
