Invaders From Another World

Columbia is not really the Metal capital of the world, but that doesn't mean the "right" CDs don't filter their way into the South American country. Sounding a bit like RAGE's Peavy Wagner ("Core Domain"), the singer has a good command of English, in which all the lyrics are delivered. Apparently the compilation of several demos over the course of many years, the style is a mix of European, double bass driven Power Metal ("War Of The Monsters" / "Lab From Hell") and its heavier, riff oriented American cousin (label references ICED EARTH, which at times seems appropriate: see "The Human Torch" / title cut / "Units Of Pain"). Not a bad introduction to the outside world, but a stronger sense of melody is warranted to take THUNDERBLAST higher.
