There are moments when simple ideas will fail to define a band's musical work, and that the reason that the use of labels to translate what many bands plays is a loss of time. The Swedish quintet THROUGH THE NOISE shows itself like that, because "Dualism" is a very good set of different musical features coexisting at the same time. Primarily, they label themselves as a "Post Hardcore Metal" band. But such fusion doesn't allow the use of these modern melodies (a Swedish extreme Metal seminal feature), this technical level and the use of such anthemic and catchy choruses. The modern aggressiveness and weight coexist with excellent tender melodies, creating a form of music based on contrasts, and bringing to them a nasty personality. Yes, they are pretty good!

"Dualism" was mixed by Erik Wiss (who worked previously with ELEINE, CREYE, TO DUST), and mastered by Thomas 'Plec' Johansson (the same one who worked with SOILWORK, WATAIN and SCAR SYMMETRY), creating a strong and heavy sound quality. It's sounding brutal and heavy, but clean and with defined instrumental tunes. The nine songs of the album are filled with high adrenaline energy, making the listener swing the head even without noting it.  "Shattered" with its fast tempos and catchy melodies (very good vocals and guitars as well), "Psychomachia" with the melodic influences with the modern abrasive weight (very good contrasts between clean and creamed voices), the sharp melodies of "Digital Playground", "Deceiver" with its charming groove (and excellent rhythmic work from bass guitar and drums), and "Meaning Through Noise" (a brutal blow in the nose, with some clean touches and melodies in the middle of the modern aggressiveness of instrumental lines) are the ones that will hook the listener by the ears.

They are a very good and promising name from the Swedish scene of Metal, and "Dualism" will take THROUGH THE NOISE to the next level for sure!
