Have you come here to read a review about something that you think you may need in your life? Because if that is the reason why you are here then I would say that you are in exactly the right place! THE DEAD DAISIES are here again with an album that will rock your senses and your spirits. HOLY GROUND has a riveting track list that pours hard rock out by the bucket full! With  the lineup of musicians and the backgrounds they come from it comes without surprise to say that this album packs a punch of style and charisma that I feel is unmatched in the rock world.

"Holy Grounds" takes us away into the album, and from the very beginning you can tell that these guys are here to play! Solid basslines, melodic drums, and a well strummed guitar give us a peek into what we are going to need to expect from the rest of the album. On top of these musical renditions there are also the lyrics that go above and beyond what I expect to hear on a hard rock album, especially this early on. Trials and tribulations leading to the betterment of oneself, that is if you listen to the music on a deeper level than just with your ears.

As we continue along with this journey of power and self-realization we arrive at "Come Alive". Now this song starts off fast and powerful, breaking away into an intricate compilation of musical sounds that will simply blow you away! Peaceful yet powerful, repetitive yet catchy, this song is definitely a different take on the hard rock genre, and it is performed masterfully! If you allow yourself the chance to listen, I'm sure you will find out the details behind what I am talking about, and if you don't hear it, well maybe you should listen to it again!

As we continue listening, we arrive at the very next track, "Bustle and Flow" which leads away with a nice little drum session that breaks into the tantalizing sounds of hard rock guitar! This album just keeps on rocking all the way through and will give you ample opportunity to find a new song to throw on that everyday playlist!

If you are wanting a more mellow rendition of rock to put in your ears there is a story of drugs and jail hidden within this album under the title "30 Days in The Hole". Starting off with a nice mellow drum intro, bringing in a nice mellow guitar and voice to follow this song will have you just chillin to its story. The lyrics are quite interesting but where I feel this song really shines is within its powerfully laid-back guitar solo! All in all, this song is a nice reminder that there is a softer side to this group and rock in general!

If you are looking for something with that classic hard rock feel but with a whole bunch of hidden lock rock gems and secrets in there, then this album needs to be on your playlist! THE DEAD DAISIES surely know what they want out of their artwork and it is shown that they have mastered their own personal style! Give this album a chance and maybe you will feel just how much of that rock'n'roll heart and soul that these guys poured into their album!
