Stonewall - Never Fall album cover

This album sends us back to the 80's, thanks to songs and tones reminding us of bands like EUROPE, SCORPIONS, or DIAMOND HEAD, which is a seal of quality dealing with Heavy Metal.  It is composed by pure Rock N Roll songs, like the opening song "Lethal Power," "Tears Of The Earth,"  "Walk On Fire," the enchanting "Let It Rise," "Taken By Shadows," and "Live For The Fight." "Never Fall" is a true Heavy Metal song, while there are more smooth or nostalgic pieces as "Cross The Line," "From The Stars," "Sound Of Violence," and the ending song "Tear Down The Walls".  The album has several tones but is 80's throughout.

"Lethal Power" is a powerful introduction to  the album, with dynamic guitars, and a powerful drum tone. The guitar solo is here to remind us that we'll spend a good Rock N Roll moment. It is followed by "Cross The Line," a more nostalgic tempered song that is another good piece of the album, with an inviting chorus.  Another inviting chorus can be heard in "Tears Of The Earth," which is an ode to the nature and a dynamic song. Also quite as dynamic is "Walk On Fire," offering us a 80's Rock N Roll moment, with an inviting and powerful guitar solo.

"Let It Rise" starts with an 80's Rock sounding opening, leading to a nice Rock 'N Roll song, and its enchanting chorus that will last for long in your head.  The guitar solo is a good moment of music and this is one of the best tracks.  "Taken By Shadows" is played as by DIAMOND HEAD. So, it is guaranteed to be a great piece of music. An inviting, opening, and powerful solo delights us with classical Heavy Metal.  "From The Stars" is a cooler song, more Rock 'N Roll than Heavy Metal, but a good song.  Another good song as well is "Live For The Fight," way more dynamic, like a charging horse or a full speed train.

"Sound Of Violence" is a more nostalgic song, peering at the 80's, with a powerful chorus (thanks to the vocals) and a great guitar solo.  "Never Fall" looks back to Heavy Metal of the good old days with powerful opening and theme. It may be too short.  Last but not least, to close this album, we have "Tear Down The Walls," a smooth Rock tune and an original bass solo, leading to a guitar duet, followed by a great guitar solo that makes this song a unique ending for this record.

So, we have different tones in this album, offering different faces of the same "Good Old 80's Rock 'N Heavy Metal Songs" album, and creating an enjoyable moment of Heavy Metal.
