Well my friends, "This Is Not Goodbye" is the third album for those Swedish blokes from Norrköping, but it's their debut under the DooLittle flag, the release date is set for October 10th, "Downfall" is the first single of the upcoming album and it also features a brand new music video already available on YouTube... A good appetizer !

They play a punchy brand of Modern Metal, with both a clean and harsh singing recurring pattern, with a big Swedish quality stamp on it, some will call it Metalcore while others should name it perhaps Scandinavian Melodic Death Metal...

Yet if "This Is Not Goodbye" is built around the same canvas, a precise recipe they used for "Alive" in 2010 but, this time enhanced with the strong will to takes everything to the an upper level, more powerfulness in the riffage, more melodic stints ("Home") and even more aggressive in the vocals ("This Void") but also a new found alternanation between harsh, growls, layers of counterpoints and a few high pitched voices ("Into The Flood" and its almost AOR hook) ,the opening track "Conform With Me" or "Shattered" is a valid proof of this versatility, a wide spectrum, from sweet chorus to chaos screaming!

A kind of adventurous approach setting in the options for the musical arrangements, with an omnipresent textures of keyboards, of course the mandatory double-harmonized-guitar-work trick, is played with an intensive mania, still displaying a sharp/straight to the point songwriting method and an obvious force present within the unity of the band.

Completed by a frenzy of little details, some musical experimentation (obviously in the closing number "Egoblivion") and updated by some electronica loops and a few unexpected groovy motifs that gives a breath of fresh air to this kind of Metal. A great package to please each and every fan of the genre: SOILWORK, classic IN FLAMES or early SCAR SYMMETRY but also ALL THAT REMAINS and MERCENARY... Nothing revolutionary but a talented band for sure, that can apply rigorously a revamped formula, able to find its own path in this overcrowded scene.
