On Top - Topless album cover

Well, the radical feminists will start a crying complain, but I must start this review this way: a good album or EP starts with a very good cover. And these guys from North American trio ON TOP really know how to get our attention, but besides the cover is very good (and tasteful), "Topless" is a fine EP, indeed (for those ones who love a beautiful woman in a sensual picture, of course).

Now speaking very honest without jokes: yes, the trio is pretty good, doing a wise mix between the weight of traditional Heavy Metal in its modern shape (aggressive and powerful) with the hooking and charming aspects from Hard Rock. Besides the formula was used many times before, it still very good due their personal insight of the style. There are heavy moments more full of energy, and others more melodic and hooking, but always sounding good to ours ears; heavy and addicting is what they are with their music!

The sound quality is very good, indeed. Is not perfect, but we can hear their musical work and understand it without complains or troubles. But it has the necessary weight to be a Metal band, without left the melodies aside.

On "282", we can hear their heavier and aggressive side, being powerful and hooking due the melodic insight, with some very good guitar riffs. Even being a bit heavier, "Go Crazy" has a nasty and hooking Hard Rock in the vein of MOTLEY CRUE appearing, with very good vocals and bearing an excellent chorus. The Hard Rock side of their music becomes stronger on "Got Me Runnin'", where bass guitar and drums are doing a fine job on rhythmic kitchen, but again the aggressive and nasty tunes of vocals creates something good. Closing this EP, "Lie to Me", a heavier song with powerful guitars again.

Okay, the band's work is fine, "Topless" is a very good EP, but I still want to know the phone and address of this model of the cover...
