The Origin of Evil
Omen Faculty

Reading the OMEN FACULTY's intro paragraph from the Sonicbids Promotional Site kind of confused me as to how they were going to pull it off. NYC based Metal band. With the sweet demonic blend of death/black/industrial/thrash/goth metal in their music, this band is worth listening to if diversity or originality you seek. Especially if you wanna get amped. Well the attempt at combining all those genres previously mentioned is gonna be challenge was my first thought and the second thought was get amped in my area means high on speed or something; to say the least you might need to be to listen to these guys.
The band began in 2000 with Psykho Alejandro on bass and vocals and has included a variety of members from the New York area. The band has played several times before, but not very extensively.
Their EPK only included one song from the album that is being reviewed, but it was all I needed to hear. OMEN FACULTY sounds like some kind of post-apocalyptic music that has blast beats from a drum machine and terribly distorted vocals. I guess this might be comparable to MINISTRY if they had Black or Death Metal influences as well.
I personally would consider this music to be crap and a waste of time for anyone to listen to, but I guess there is a crowd for this. If you like crazy fast Industrial with some Death/Black overtones like no bands I can think of this might be for you.
