Obsidian Butterfly

What does the sentence "good music" sound to you?Is it a very hard riffs and a unique singer voice? Should it be led by growls? Or should it be Opera? Sometimes bands decide to sound not "like someone". I mean this one sounds like MANOWAR, this one sound like METALLICA and this one like ROSA INFRA. OBSIDIAN BUTTERFLY happens to be the brainchild of Lefthander, a mysterious man who is not traceable on the Internet. No website, no MySpace, no Facebook.
That is why you can't find any information about the band / musicians. I think it's not a good move. In the 21st century you must have a web site where people can find information about you and your band. Believe me, this is true. OBSIDIAN BUTTERFLY is a very interesting band for music lovers. They definitely got some interesting sound but I can't hear even one small Metallic sound, but the music is a very dark, melancholic and contemplative. There you have acoustic guitars, serene choirs and solemn spoken phrases, and I think this is not my musical style. Don't get me wrong - I am not of these guys that adore only Metal, and all the other things suck. I love to begin my morning with Mozart, Vivaldi and Wagner and to end it with HEAVEN SHALL BURN, ARCH ENEMY and IRON MAIDEN. But with all my love to the music world, this album is nothing special at all.
I think the only song that grabbed my attention is "Same Old Song" which is better than the others and got some unique sound. Anyway if you love dark music you should check this album, perhaps, you will find it much more interesting than me.
