Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to present to you, NATIONAL SUICIDE; signed via Scarlet Records and hailing from Italy, performing Thrash Metal on their 2nd album entitled, "Anotheround".
Since formation in 2005, the quintet in question, NATIONAL SUICIDE has released "The Old Family Is Still Alive" (released in 2009), a Split in 2011 entitled, "Wild Thrash Brigade", and this here record: "Anotheround". Next to Heavy/Death Metal, Thrash Metal is easily my favorite sub-genre in Metal of all time, simply for its intricate, yet precise, instrumentation in the speediness and ferocious form it usually provides to give you an utmost energetic listen to get that motivation uprising. This quartet does just that while providing unprecedented distinction, delivering a form of OVERKILL-esquire similarities that sound pleasantly fulfilling for any thrasher. I wouldn't go as far as to say they are a rip-off wannabe band, as they are not, they implement their own form of this incentive, showcasing original formalities of musicianship that I can't help but revere in this occasion.
Consisting of Ivan "Saxon" Andreolli on bass, who pummels his axe with impressive adroitness; the main attraction has to be Stefano Mini on vocals, where the immediate thought that approached my brain was that he impersonates Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth from OVERKILL almost indefinitely; the resemblance is uncanny. Still, he does have some unique efficiency that showcase impressive vocal ranges that just scream out Metal. Other similarities include instrumentation that precedents the likes of TOXIC HOLOCAUST; Tiziano "Tiz" Campagna on guitars, proficiently jams rebelliously with 80s Thrash Metal in mind while making it musically modern. Daniele Valle, also on guitars, produces high-energetic explosions, while the drummer, "Anthony "Vender" Dantone", pummels his set with exciting precision. The band is healthily youthful in their efforts to invent the most exciting, yet explosive, Thrash album you'll come across.
The 9 thrashing tracks, ranging around at 33:36s, are very consistent to Thrash Metal. "No Shot, No Dead" begins the album that excels into a very intricate TOXIC HOLOCAUST-esquire design that sounds a little something from the album, "Chemistry Of Consciousness", and sets the tone throughout the record. "I Refuse To Cry" is a prime definitive of moshing greatness, prominent ultimate fulfillment, similarly found in "Scene Of The Crime". The titular track, "Anotheround", "Fire At Will" & "Nobody's Coming", make the band as if they were methodical to their production and raged intensely as if they were boiled down to the surface, which is a positively great perspective for a band of this competence. Staying true to the genre, "Second To None" (not to be confused with DESTRUCTION's track), "What The Fuck Is Goin' On?" & "I Have No Fear", end the album with a distinguished incentive to absolutely thrash your noggins!!<
