Mustasch - In The Night album cover

The Swedish were always into the music making thing and have offered numerous classics to our beloved Metal music, whether it was blasphemous Black, melodic/relentless Death, sleazy Glam or... Stoner! Already having a nice tradition into the groovy side of music, Sweden offers one more catchy and whiskey soaked release from its boys MUSTASCH. Get ready for their brand new DVD release!

I have reviewed many MUSTASCH releases and I guess you have already noticed that they may not amaze me with their sound, but they always remain a trustworthy option for a beer consuming gathering and as it seems, for a live experience, too! Regain Records is determined to prove that MUSTASCH is a great live act and make the people who haven't seen them live plan a trip to Sweden to party with these boys (sounded a bit gay)!

The band has made some changes, like filling Hansson's (guitar) empty spot with SPARZANZA's David Johannesson, but if I am not mistaken this DVD was filmed when Hansson was still a member of MUSTASCH. Anyway, it was the 28th of December, and the Swedish rockers/metallers paid a visit to Gothenburg to play a live show that would become the band's first ever DVD release. Are you ready to rock?

Armed with a more than decent audio and video quality, Into The Night offers a hard rocking full live show of MUSTASCH that combines the live energy of the band with a pretty hot audience (which by the way could be a bit hotter). The band seems a bit high, since I guess that they drank a few beers before they hit the stage, especially the band's frontman Ralf. The band is in constant communication with the crowd and I guess that everyone had a hell of a nice time that night, at least that's what it seems.

Except for a really good live performance, the DVD comes along with some backstage videos, the video clip for Double Nature, which comes off the band's latest full-length release Latest Version Of The Truth, and a promotional video that features the band playing the song Double Nature live. I guess that if you think about it In The Night is a pretty tempting package for MUSTASCH fans, and fans of Stoner sound in general.
