MAVERICK is a Belfast/Northern Ireland based Heavy Metal act, and a punch to the face to each person that dares to call Metal dead, or unoriginal! This band is a proof that great music coming deep from your heart can still be created. They have put out their new album which contains 11 tracks almost a year ago. It begins with ''All For One'', hard hitting drums, pure riffs of heavy metal, understandable vocals, a lot of choruses, cool lyrics. No offense to older fans, but this is absolutely meant for all of you. I'm talking about old school fans in general. If you like heavy, this band is for you. It goes through the following tracks: ''Free'', ''The One'', as the cool vocals dominate the classic and not too fast riffs of this genre. I noticed a few parts which I simply loved, because they reminded me a lot of Enforcer. The band of course doesn't use screams all the time, there are clean vocals, mostly ballads, some of the songs are more powerful, and they overall give you an ''epic'' feeling.
''Mademoiselle'', ''Forever'', are especially cool and will definitely give you a few nostalgic moments. The band currently has the following releases: ''Talk's Cheap'', which is an EP, released in 2013, and excluding this new record, they also have one from 2014, entitled ''Quid Pro Quo''. If you are into Heavy Metal, or Metal in general sounding like: ALICE COOPER, RATT, CINDERELLA or THE POODLES, give this band a try! You won't regret it, especially if you want to relax with some awesome and heavy music.
