After almost a decade and two demos released, the quintet from Pennsylvania brings the sensational debut album "In Forgotten Sleep". The independently produced album delights in the care and attention to every detail, in addition to expressive creativity and elements that fit perfectly. Tyler Fedeli (lead vocals), Peter Hraur (lead guitar/vocals), Graham Noel (bass), Greg Bogart (drums), Matt Bartlett (keyboards) are young people who bring a sound between Folk and Progressive Metal, but it is important to call attention to the fact that the band does not stop there. Hard, Heavy, Speed, Black, among others, are styles often found in their beautiful songs.

The album consists of ten songs and is about 70' long begins with "Dusk" a track that starts with a very medieval atmosphere, as if we were walking in the plains of Ireland to the rhythm of a very pleasant folk and drum. After three minutes it is broken for a small demonstration of how the band can be versatile launching typical of Black Metal guttural, followed by a long instrumental performance and then it returns to alternating changes of tempo and vocals. Although Tyler's voice is very reminiscent of Hansi Kürsch's (BLIND GUARDIAN), the vocalist shows a lot of personality with incredible variations.

"Dark Cloud" is a fast-paced track featuring a lot of Finnish Speed Metal from the 90's, but with more arrangements. "Requiem" is composed of a more groovy and orchestral feeling, with keyboards, piano and  flute presence .In addition to the small drum solos the track also has a very strong bass presence. "The Forever" has a very thoughtful and introspective introduction that engage a bit of meditation opening the doors to "Visions of Awakening" a very festive track, in its beginning it is impossible not to imagine in a tavern dancing and drinking. The song remains intense and complex throughout.

"Song For The Lost" in turn, shows a slightly darker and heavier environment. Then we have again an introduction song, "Aura" that precedes my favorite track of the album and also the one chosen to publicize the work of the band before the launch entitled "Eidolon", a masterpiece of approximately twelve minutes with extremely progressive rhythm. To get an idea of the diversity of this song as, I listened to it, I remembered at least five bands or singers including Morrissey. The track still has a bright solo between the minute eight to ten. "Spectrum" and "In Forgotten Sleep" conclude the album.

LÖR shows itself to the metal scene with perspective and musicality in a brilliant way. Although young, members have exceptional musical ability and maturity. "In Forgotten Sleep" is splendid from the first to the last second, mandatory listening for metal lovers.
