Lifeline - Scream album cover

Well, my friends let me introduce you a cool project featuring twelve tracks (all killers/no filler) where all is about soaring melodies packed upon entertaining yet traditional riffs..."Scream" is the title of a stunning debut album from British Melodic Hard Rock studio-project LIFELINE.

A true duet album by two terrific vocalists: the dual team of veteran singers are very busy musicians, namely Nigel Bailey (THREE LIONS) also on Bass Guitar and ex-NATIVE CAIN/CLOVEN HOOF/PHENOMENA/SURVEILLANCE/OMEGA/ ICONIC EYE/SHY's latest vocalist Lee Small (and the most credible/incontestable vocal dead ringer for Glenn Hughes). Both were determined to make an exceptional disc together and they decided to go behind the call of duty by sharing the vocal roles in total combination yet with full respect of each other's individuality ("Far From Home")... Remarkable and clever!

Stylistically stunning, indeed most of the time easily switching from Pounding to Groove in a blink of an eye ("Fear No More"), enhanced with a sound based on a strong focus on expressive hooks and catchy elegance... Typically English and full of jubilant arrangements, obviously relying on this very special classic British Rock flair, a concept that also combines songs that verge on Melodic Hard Rock infectious rhythms ("Jezebel") along with catchy tunes firmly built in a method, more or less in the same Classy British AOR custom design ("Feels like Love")... The recipe is perfectly executed by a bunch of accomplished players!

The involvement of reputed singer of Lee Small that was riding on a good wake of high level music, with notably the superb GRÖNHOLM third album "Relativity Code For Love"(PowerProg Records) and last year's highlight "Elevation" by SKYSCRAPER, was strong enough to give a very good stimulating signal, and to rise-up quickly a few great perspectives.

The recall of those strongly recommended releases and my numerous enjoyable musical experiences with this prolific musician were for me, a major encouragement and an unarguably optimist reason to pre ordered this album a few months ago with closed eyes! Until the album hits my mail-box, I remained stuck in a state of excitement in a forward anticipation, because I already knew that I will not be disappointed! Of course, as expected, the music is designed on the axis of the noble class with a subtle Rockin' edge and a slight return to the glorious 70's.

After the unexpected artistic/critical success of the THREE LIONS project and his consequitive solo disc (both under the guidance of Italian hegemonic label Frontiers), Nigel Bailey is once again under the bright spotlight with another appetizing all-star project featuring another revelation in the person of Paul Hume (his own band LAWLESS is also very worth your time, attention & money), a bloody damn fine guitar player and a skilled engineer/Producer... He is indeed in charge of all the studio works and the result is a dynamic state of the art production...And still keeping a lot of emphasis in the organic side; good job mate!

But the real asset of this album is the superb songwriting coherency of this seasoned duo, under a fine combination that blends creativity played with undeniable skills by first class musicians and overall a true savoir faire! The famous AOR guru Khalil Turk from Escape Music was pleased and delighted to released the LIFELINE debut CD titled "Scream" at the final stage of late October... I should admit to have been a little late for this particular one!

In conclusion, this album is a must for all melodic hard rock fans and a good gift idea to submit for those who are still hungry for magical & supreme Old School sonic delight!
