Black Thrash attacks again!!! And of course it sounds good to me, as it brings to my mind when I was 15, and at School. It was a school that I hated, and I was surprised that something that sounded so easy to make, could bring so many emotions to my mind. This one very nearly inspired me want to destroy everything around me, and do so happily!
I don't think I need to run through this this track by track, basically I feel that would be unnecessary. Of course this sounds repetitive and really isn't anything new for metal. But this is something made from the heart, and make no mistake, this band sounds pretty good. it's like we picked up something from the 90's without knowing it, one of those treasured albums you just bought for the cover, right from the racks.
I love the guitar tones; aggressive and raw, like a cutting knife every time they riff. In fact, the whole production here is awesome, and this doesn't sound like it was made on this century. Theres a semi-audible bass and those drums like banging cooking pots. While the vocals are standard, they absolutely fit in perfectly with what they're trying to accomplish. (trying's not the correct word, i suppose, did is more appropriate).
The album is quite short true, but nearly all Black Thrash albums are short (there is a song that's 6 minutes long, and that felt kind of weird). Approach playing this one with caution, lest you induce severe headbang trauma. This album is really a lot of fun for metalheads longing for the old days of Black Thrash. The guitar work here is crazy good, really just short of amazing, but damn, it's close. Take a chance on this one and I expect you'll enjoy it. You might even want to destroy things! Anyway you will be captivated, at least for a while.
