Housemaster - J.B. album cover

The totally cult and old school cover artwork prepared me for what I would have to face while listening to J.B.. The Italian thrashers are here with their brand new demo CD although I would prefer a melted vinyl version like the one pictured in the cover.

The band was born from the ashes of BURNING HATE and is active for no more than 3-4 years. Their discography until now is rather rich since they have already released two more demo CD's and a split release with SACRIFICATOR, DATELESS AIM and EXILIUM. The band's brand new release contains approximately 25 minutes of Thrash Metal the American way, which slightly reminded me of bands like SACRED REICH, VIO-LENCE and TESTAMENT.

The good thing about these guys is that they have some pretty decent riffing, something really important in Thrash Metal, and most important they have a singer that may sound really weak at some parts, but shows that he has the potential to become an authentic Thrash Metal vocalist. Thank god Cavazzano isn't one more of these screaming dickheads who think that using brutal vocals in Thrash makes it sound cool. This scene needs original singers.

All in all, this demo shows that if HOUSEMASTER dare to make the big step and record a full-length album, having a better production and a label that will be able to help and support them, they will offer some pretty good stuff. Check them out.
