Headless - Growing Apart album cover

HEADLESS is a Progressive Rock band from Italy. Now before I get into this review you must know upfront I was not a fan of FLYING COLORS while many people really enjoyed their album. "Growing Apart" reminded me a lot of FLYING COLORS and that should tell you how I feel about this record. The music was not bad just very boring to me, all the tracks sounded similar with the exception of "Sink Deep in a Fairy Tale". That song really seemed to take on an identity of its own and entertain me from start to finish. As I said before the music wasn't bad it just seems watered down and mediocre, something that might be heard on the radio. The vocals were the focal point on this record and they reminded me of ROB ROCK, a singer I can only handle in small dosages. The guitar was decent with a few flashy solos on the first half of the album. The bass and drums were there but that was just about it, they did nothing that left a lasting impression on me. If you enjoy FLYING COLORS and bands like COLDPLAY this is a band you should look into.
