Set The World On Fire
Gioeli - Castronovo
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: GIOELI - CASTRONOVO; signed via Frontiers Music S.R.L, hailing from Italian grounds, performing Hard Rock - on their debut album "Set The World On Fire" (released July 13th, 2018).
Since formation in 2017; the band in question have only this here album in their discography so far: "Set The World On Fire", 12 tracks ranging at around 40:67; GIOELI - CASTRONOVO arrange an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting Hard Rock developments, the incredibly catchy and enjoyable titular track begins the record - conveying a solid slab of symphonic rhythms and meticulous manifestations. "Through" distributes diligently composed elements of radio-friendly flamboyancy, culminated with elegant hymns in which demonstrate a profusely robust distinction of distinguished characteristics and captivating grit - balanced with concrete expertise and detailed ramifications. The band so far excel with proficiency, yet mostly establish an easy-listening experience.
Consisting of Johnny Gioeli; the vocalist embellishes on clean, high-pitched pipes with a hint of blood in the voice for that heavier harmony. "Who I Am" has an operatic stability to it; injected with an organic substance of ambience, and an aesthetic of creative vehemence. Powerhouse drummer Deen J. Castronovo (also on vocals) hammers his set with diverse dynamics that bounce with boistrous grooves and thumps with thunderously progressive technicalities especially in the poetic "Fall Like An Angel". "It's All About You" has anthemic synthesizers and pianist keyboard implementations from Alessandro Del Vecchio, showcasing a borderline foundation of electrical finesse and mesmerizing songwriting originality - there is a lot of 70s-80s influences here with a modernized variety.
"Need You Now" exemplifies the emotional concepts which are enjoyable; even if it lacks primitive savagery, still portraying complex dexterity from guitarist Mario Percudani who efficiently contrasts with consistent strumming in which is embodied with amplified assaults and a barrage of fluidly polished nimbleness. "Ride Of Your Life" flairs with constructive adroitness, shining on with upbeat instrumentation and elegantly blistering riffs and solos that are quite enlightening. Battering bassist Nik Mazzucconi pummels his weapon with audible clarity, as "Mother" fulfills with entertaining experimentation - while there is not a lot of deadly extremity within "Set The World On Fire", there is still a lot of prodigous salubriousness that is somewhat admirably commendable.
"Walk With Me" delivers more conceptual executions that brings back the adrenaline-fuelled action, still down-tuned with simplistic tempos and the like - while "Run For Your Life" advances with accelerating pace. "Remember Me" shows off aforementioned sufficiencies while "Let Me Out" overall concludes the record with fancy contributions.
Bottom line; I discovered a certainly persistent band and GIOELI - CASTRONOVA definitely outdone themselves, however – as a metal maniac, I will likely not listen to "Set The World On Fire" again, yet Hard Rock fanatics should relish it.<
