This is a demo of Greeks Frail Entity. The group isn't selling this demo but they have made a website that you can all go and download the tracks of their demo for free. For sure these guys adore what they are doing and most of all... music!
The band formed in 2000, initially known as Aposynthesis used to only play revisions. Before the recordings of their demo Anatolia/ All Alone in October of 2002 in Baseline Studios, Sofia was added on the vocals. With this composition the group appeared in various gigs, with the most important one being in Heraklion city (Crete, Greece) where Frail Entity played as support for Rotting Christ. After a short disband the group decided to record all their stuff including the initial members.
First of all you can notice the bad production, but that's ok because the guys worked on this demo alone with just a personal computer. I tried not to pay much attention to the annoying production and let my mind free to focus on their music. Well, I must say that Frail Entity is more close to Doom paths, melody-wise, atmospheric moments and with a little melancholy in their music, but without sounding too depressive as most Doom Metal groups do. The last two songs, which are from their demo from 2002, are completely different, but for these two tracks I would like to make a note further on.
In many parts you can listen to melodies of synths and harmonic piano lines. Such beautiful lines has the instrumental song Unappealable Dissolution, which would enchant you with the incredible piano melody. One song that I distinguish from that demo is Warce because it's much more aggressive and is more in my style. The last two songs Anatolia and All Alone, as I mentioned before, are completely different, with a slightly better production and they obviously slip out from any Doom elements. I must also mention the song All Alone, the only track in which Sofia sings and I found it very remarkable, they mixed eastern-style female vocals with dark howlings in a very good way.
This is only a demo and therefore I can't accuse anyone for the empty songs and the not very well made work. But I must say that the group is worth your attention because it seems that they have the guts and...this album's also free!
