Who the Hell left graves opened in the cemetery of San Jose, California (USA)? Yes, because the Death Metal/Grindcore god zombies of EXHUMED are back again, spreading their gospel of blood, bowels, and guts to make every Metal fan to puke out their stomachs with their new and infamous album, "Death Revenge".

As every Death Metal fan knows (or must know), the quartet has been around since the beginning of the 90s, making a nasty, dirty and disgusting mix of Death Metal sound with brutal Grindcore fast tempos and snarls. Of course, their musical work evolved a lot since then, but always keeping their traditional musical style, the mix between harsh screamed voices with low tuned guttural grunts, the nasty and assassin guitar riffs and jigsaw solos, and a fast and technical work from bass guitar and drums. On "Death Revenge", these grave robbers are still as nasty and brutal as always, but a more defined sound that we are used, what grant their work with an aggressive and bloody energy that will make your bones tremble!

Jarrett Pritchard (who previously worked with GOATWHORE, 1349 and others) worked as producer for this brutal puke of energy. He made the difference, because even with the nasty and dirty sound of the band, the sonority of "Death Revenge" is excellent, respecting the musical aspects of EXHUMED's musical personality, but granting the album's quality a balance between the aggressiveness and clarity the everyone needs to understand the quartet. And the cover created by Orion Landau catches the spirit of old magazines as "Tales from the Crypt", one of the greatest inspirations of the band's lyrical work.

And be prepared, because the surgery with no anesthesia is about to begin!

The mix between fast tempos and slower ones of "Defenders of the Grave" and its brutal insight with nasty voices, the explosion of intestines and putrid guts shown on the violent guitar riffs of "Lifeless" (what fine contrast between fast moments with slow parts), the unexpected melodies on the guitar solos of "Dead End", the excellent and hooking riffs and vocals of "Night Work" (that is showing a very good technical work on guitars), the clear Grindcore influence shown on "Unspeakable", the excellent instrumental song "The Anatomy Act of 1832" (where all of them show their excellent technique on the instruments), the hooking energy of "Incarnadined Hands", and the massacre of nasty vocals and brutal rhythmic session shown on "Death Revenge". But there are two bonus tracks: "Death Revenge Underture" (an outro, to complete the intro of the album), and the extremely brutal version for EXODUS' classical song, "A Lesson in Violence" (this violent insight is a true homage to the creators of Thrash Metal, indeed).

So, let the grave robbers do their work, and listen to "Death Revenge" at any cost and be prepared to puke out your livers!
