Hungarian neo thrashers Ektomorf strike back with this 45 minute live DVD entitled Live And Raw...You Get What You Give plus a bonus CD containing the remastered version of their third Kalyi Jag album - which originally came out in 2000 - for fucking free! There is also an addition of five videos which really create a very nice artistic proposition for fans of the really heavy new sound, who seek for something unique for their ears.
The live DVD overflows with sheer energy and power and really shakes your bones. The band seems to be experienced on stage - as it is obvious in this live appearance. You can find a mixture of Hardcore, Metal and Folk in their music with an important touch of modern production to their sound. This creates the Ektomorf neo-Thrash sound. Ektomorf has played in festivals like With Full Force, Wacken Open Air, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in front of thousands of ecstatic metalheads. Live And Raw is the outcome product of Ektomorf's live appearance at the Summer Breeze festival in 2005.
Ektomorf manage to make your body groove, twist and shake with their Heavy Metal music which is a combination of influences from bands mostly in the likes of late Slayer, Soulfly, Pro-Pain and Fear Factory. There are many songs here (in the live DVD) - the majority actually - which came from their Instinct album such as Set Me Free, Show Your Fist, Instinct, Burn, Fuck You All, United Nations, You Get What You Give and I Will. The audience's response to Ektomorf's call is really warm and the whole package is an in-your-face musical proposition for an over energetic metal head.
