Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: DESTRUCTION; signed via Nuclear Blast Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Thrash Metal, on their 16th studio album entitled: "Born To Perish" (released August 9th, 2019).

Since formation in 1982 (originally as KNIGHT OF DEMON); the quartet, and infamously known Big Tuetonic 4 thrash metal titans in question have an astonishing 16 studio albums in their discography so far. Having been a huge fan since I discovered them; I was more than eager to dive into this new record entitled: "Born To Perish". 10 new tracks ranging at around 50:18; DESTRUCTION arrange an intricately designed formula of thrash metal developments. Picking up where 2016's "Under Attack" left off ("Thrash Anthems II" being a remake of compiled fan classics); this new selection of thrashing madness manifests meticulous ramifications of relentlessly savage speed, amplified adrenaline & boistrously bouncy hooks – conveying flamboyantly composed chaos, chugging gallops & frantic finesse fueled with firepower & expertise.

Consisting of legendary Marcel "Schimer" Schirmer on bass/vocals; the frontman demonstrates his own ultilization of trademark vocals, versatile vehemence & audible bass instrumentation. The titular track distributes his snarly shreiks of rawly rough screams; punky pipes, and lungs of high-pitched raspiness - the man showcases several singing styles that supplies dynamically diligent diversity. Until now; they were a trio, with the additional Canadian drummer: Randy Black, who wastes no time showing off his hasty hammering that smash with battering crunchiness. There is a newly profound vitality with this recruit; who thrashes with traditional tempos, and a barraged frenzy of furiously catchy energy - a blisteringly extreme opener.

"Inspired By Death" crushes bones with concretely gnarly grooves with rapidly swift nimbleness; razor-sharp riffing from guitar duo Mike Sifringer (on rhythm) & 2nd newcomer Damir Eskić (on lead), lacerate rip-roaring shreds that thunder with seamlessly sonic solos & stampeding panache...this song gets the blood flowing - head banging & soul raging. "Betrayal" acutely injects infectiously breakneck aesthetics; implementing immersively jumpy melodies, monstrously meaty quakes & quintessential momentum that strikes with punchy virtuosity. Viciously portraying familiar chord progression; tenaciously technical substance, organic overarch's of volatile precision & a borderline foundation of killer kicks juxtaposed with grunty grandures that subjugate a solidified ritual of ruthless pandemonium - another belter.

"Rotten" blends a healthy dose of complex dexterity; beligerent songwriting memorability, shattering stability & snappy quirks that revolves with malevolent lyricism and I quote: "I am more evil than Satan, God is a selfish prick!". Strumming with savage velocity; pulsating patterns, ominous peruses of flicking craftsmanship & a rowdy ministry of uproar mania. "Filthy Wealth" embellishes on experimental enlightenments; continuous assaults of brisk mob-like pugnaciousness, pursuiting their view of the state of modern society. Mid-portion provides a buldging bass fragment that seems quite rare within this record, still noticable though in the screeching structured. "Butchered For Life" examines a ballad-esquire; anthemic introduction, converged into a full-throttle thrasher – which seems like a trilogy set for "Mad Butcher" & "The Butcher Strikes Back"...a cool collection of the Mad Butcher character.

"Tyrants Of The Neverworld" captures captivating fulfillments of dynasty grinds; hybrid hysteria, trailblazing waves of rampaging rampancy & more profusely robust penetration that will pump your body into a hellraising - fist punching state. "We Breed Evil" equally brings dissonant chords; bombastic blitzkreig, beastly boosts of ponderously thick remedies paired with sublime terror. "Fatal Flight 17" tells the story of the fatal Malaysian Airline flight being cited as a mass shooting in the Ukraine in 2014; telling many stories related to this tradegy, never slowing down; however, which makes this another bashful tune. Overall concluding "Born To Perish" with the finale song: "Ratcatcher" which shines like a bulldozing berserker, charging with pulverizing sophistication & punishing remarkability - make this a fine-tuned record.

Bottom line; with 16 studio records, and many more where those came from – DESTRUCTION certainly outdone themselves yet again, as "Born To Perish" exceeded all original expectations & delivered a headcrushing experience fuelled with hate, aggression & angry hostility. Bravo, gents. You yet again enlightened me with fulfilling enjoyability...all metal maniacs NEED to definitely listen to this - pronto, stat!
