Hailing from Poland, comes DEIVOS and their latest album "Casus Belli". This album is seriously amazing and very well written. DEIVOS is Tomasz Kolcon on Guitar, Krzysztof Saran on Drums, Piotr Bajus on Guitar, Kamil Stadnicki on Drums and finally Hubert Banach on Vocals. If you have been searching for a band similar in sound to Morbid Angel with a hint of older BEHEMOTH, I recommend this album one hundred percent. This eight track album will have you on the edge of your seat and hitting replay as soon as it's over.
Up first we have "Casus Belli" which immediately thrusts us into the pits of Death Metal hell. This hard hitting in your face track is sure to get your blood pumping. The moment this song started I knew I was absolutely stuck. I guarantee my face lit up during the first thirty seconds of the track. Up next we have "Parallel Gods" which is just as immaculate as the previous song. This one has a bit more of an evil feel to it which is always welcome. "Bitter End" really struck me as having a bit of an old school vibe yet mixed heavily with modern Death Metal. I fell head over heels for this song. This one just has so much depth and power to it that it's impossible to deny. "Victims" comes roaring in like a demon escaping the bowels of hell, just to rip your soul from your body. This is by far one of the best songs on the album, but I honestly don't think I could pick any one favourite since they're all amazing. "Achiever Of Nothing" absolutely kills it. This one had me wanting to get up and start tearing everything apart. The song "Ataraxy" really strikes me as one of the best Blackened Death Metal songs I have heard in quite a while. I was definitely bopping my head throughout this entire track. The second to last song is "Nuclear Wind" which is another song that just absolutely blew me away. My jaw was on the floor through the entirety of this song. The finals song on the album is "Prayer Of Disavowed" which in all honesty was a phenomenal ending to an excellent album. I have to say that this album has given me hope for the year 2020 being a good one for Metal. Keep up the great work guys!
