BONE CHURCH have released their 2nd album "Acid Communion" The album contains 6 new songs & is of the Stoner Metal genre. The band from Connecticut released the new album on February 13th 2020. Bone church started their career together in 2016. The new album is the bands 2nd album, the first being the self titled album "Bone Church" which was released in 2018. The 5 man outfit have put together a short but well written & performed album with "Acid Communion" which can be heard on major streaming platforms such as Youtube & Spotify as well as being sold on CD. It's an album not to be missed by fans old & new alike.

To summarize the songs on the album we open the song "Heavy Heaven" which has an instrumental opening on guitars and drums. This cascades into the vocals of the song which come to give the song it's complete sound. It's a bit of a Rock N' Roll sounding song and one that gets you tapping. "Witch In The Cellar" is song number 2, which is a quick paced song that is catchy & fun. The lyrics are clear to hear in the fore front of the music. The instrumentals of the song are not too long and it's a song that you can get hooked on. Song number 4 is called "Iron Temple" and is a song with a chilled pace & a bluesy feel to it, as does the album in general. The song is quite long lasting 7 minutes and 9 seconds, and is the longest song on the album. It has some fine instrumental sections in the midst and is one of the highlights of the album. "Acid Communion" closes with the self titled song "Acid Communion" which opens with some pretty heavy guitar riffs and smashing drum beats only to become more softly played before the lyrics kick in. It's a great song to end the album on & plays rather well when played loud.

Overall the album may be a short one with only 6 songs, but the songs have been well written & performed. It's a good album to listen to with a Blues Rock kinda feel to it. The album has been produced to a fine standard and is one that deserves a spin on the CD player without a doubt. I have enjoyed the album and can see myself becoming a fan of BONE CHURCH. Although the band are still growing in fans, I don't doubt that they have bigger times to come in the future. The band who are under Ripple Music have a solid future ahead of them if they keep producing and recording music like they have with "Acid Communion."
