ALCATRAZZ was formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, California by the legendary Rock vocalist Graham Bonnet, obtaining a stance both with RAINBOW and MSG. Just recently this album was re-released in a new digipack edition with bonus tracks via Metal Mind Productions.
The tremendous feel of vintage Metal and Hard Rock, the album was originally released in 1983, portraying a highly classic, yet quite simple, approach towards Metal. "Jet To Jet" displays dynamic fast pace drumming while a soothing vibe of the keyboards looming above, Yngwie Malmsteen turns up what would be his neo classical Metal signature and Bonnet astounds with this vocal quality and his chanting skills with a soaring voice. "Hiroshima Mon Amour" is a favorite of mine, demonstrating fantastic melodies, great riffery and one hell of a chorus delivered with passion. "Kree Nakoorie" other than the comforting keyboards, Malmsteen shatters with his vision of guitaring, immaculate display of true power. "Incubus", an instrumental, shares that same mastermind riffs, a bit atmospheric at times. "Too Young To Die, Too Drunk To Live" raging with vengeance is an energetic bastard, quite memorable with a fine melodic crispiness. Induced romance looms over the beautiful ballad of "Suffer Me" revealing ALCATRAZZ's amazing balladry composition talent. Also recommended are the live version cover of the old RAINBOW hit "Since You've Been Gone", the hook laden "Island In The Sun", the slow tempo chug of "Big Foot", and finally the oriental type riffs with a few similarities to VAN HALEN and catchy vocals on "Starcarr Lane".
"No Parole From Rock N' Roll" is highly recommend listener, a true exposure of an old diamond, for Hard Rock and Heavy Metal fans.
