A LIGHT AMONG SHADOWS is a Gothic-influenced Symphonic Rock / Metal quarter consisting of three Spanish members Adrien Fowl, Alejandro Tineo, Christopher Red, respectively on guitars, drums and bass, and fronted by the German vocalist Tatjana Klee. "Welcome... Back!" is actually their self-released debut album, following their previous two released consisting of an EP and a single.

The LACUNA COIL / EVANESCENCE influences are very obvious in A LIGHT AMONG SHADOWS's music. Sultry female vocals, solid and skillful guitar play, beautiful melodies and great lyrical themes. Klee will certainly remind you of Cristina Scabbia of LACUNA COIL, especially that the overall atmosphere in the music is very similar, yet still quite original. The band was creative with the song writing, creating 13 varied tracks capturing a variety of emotions as well as musical elements. You can hear symphonic Metal, a bit of Gothic Metal and even Progressive and Power Metal. Generally I would describe it as Melodic Metal. A very good effort for a debut full-length.
