Darkness were founded in 1984 in Essen by the drummer Lacky, released 3 solid full-lenght albums in the following years and split in 1990.

During 2000's the band existed under the moniker Eure Erben and played classic thrash metal with German lyrics but after the 25th anniversary show of their immortal classic album "Death Squad" in 2012 they decided to try out as DARKNESS once again.
