Hardingrock - Grimen album cover

Ok, enough with the bullshit artists keep feeding the metalheads. We may love some bands, we may love some artists, but this doesn't mean we will accept every piece of crap they offer to us. Ihsahn is a well-respected musician and thanks to him, we have many great works like his contribution to EMPEROR, his solo album and many more, but this time he has gone too far...

Grimen is an album he created with his wife Starofash and Norway's premier traditional fiddlist Knut Buen. The overall style is traditional folk music with some slight Metal touches. There are also many moments when Knut Buen doesn't even sing, he just speaks!

Ok, no need to spend more time on this thing. This album has nothing to do with Metal nor will it interest a lover of folk music. This time it is not a matter of open mindedness, it is a matter of self-respect.
