Hailing from Sweden this feisty trio known as VORGUS dish out their latest sophomore effort titled White Trash Hellraisers. A record with eleven catchy tunes with a MOTORHEAD inspired atmosphere that marks the listening spot with their hellraiser attitude to their devil-may-care spirit. Formed back in 1994 the group has released four demos between 2001 to 2004 bestowing them the needed experience to release their full length album Hellfueled Satanic Action in 2009. Broadening their craft the band takes us into a new space with their hell trash music and that leads one here trying to pin point what makes a band like VORGUS rage on with their musical spitfire.

Focusing in with their solid grooves of heavy laced thrash metal VORGUS has an interest way of delivering goods that in the present day are sure to please. Songs are straight forward in your face with a punch that is packed with loud guitars, solid drumming, infused bass to those screamo-punk vocals that are reminiscence of early Thomas Fischer of CELTIC FROST (Into The Pandemonium-'87) with a dash of MOTORHEAD. There are parts where it gives off a meaty ANTHRAX flair with motivating guitar shreds that are in the mix of SEPULTRA (Beneath The Remains-'89) meets DRI (Thrashzone-'89) but has a modern twist making White Trash Hellraisers stimulating for todays liking. Self titled track of the same album name  "White Trash Hellraisers" has a thrash based groove that speaks to metalheads of all kinds that raises the listening decibel with their speed guitar riffs to their interesting almost comical song titles. Even with prior songs in the past the names are funny but with this release has to be "Sado Zombies", "Dead Snow" and to the song I am speaking of now. Despite it all "White Trash Hellraisers" should have been the starter song to introduce it's heavy core based metal style which frontman bassist Belze Bo gives one hell of a performance with.

"Raising Hell" is one hell of a song that gets the juices going with it's pounding edge styled guitar along with animated drumming makes the bass additionally pronounced which is not bad considering most bass is drowned out, but for this band it's not the case. Lyrically VORGUS keeps things uncomplicated much like their music which is a relief cause most bands out there have to keep the complexities going to be mysterious to which I find rather boring. What you see (or hear) is what you get with this act and VORGUS doesn't need additional colors, flavors or preservatives in order to stand out. Have to say two song highlights of this release are "Army Of Darkness" and "Hellfuck 2015" which are VORGUS's song strengths which show a powerful concoction of extremities indeed. If you like your music straight up pure unabashed metal then seek no more for VORGUS is here and if you don't like them then you can sug röv!
