Impious Baptism - Wrath Of The Apex Predator album cover

Black Metal projects are many, and the ones that stand out are few, but now I'm happy to announce a new shiny demonic jewel into my box of Death. "Wrath of the Apex Predator" is a release by IMPIOUS BAPTISM, a Black Metal project by an individual called J, who all by himself crafted something that I'd consider a MARDUK inspired release with a sprinkle of BEHEMOTH. The release has it all, and fans of the genre will rejoice and glorify it, or else...

"Wrath of the Apex Predator" gets intense from the beginning to the end, with its instrumental onslaught at the very beginning and the never ending intensity and devilish atmosphere to the very end. Even the last song barely gives you any space to calm you ears from the never ending explosions with its synthesizers at the end still keeping you packed up and ready to hear some more heaviness. As for the instruments and vocals, I already said it is a MARDUK inspired release to me, and the Black Metal formula despite being somehow similar and very repetitive with the guitar riffs, is still something to easily predict and still enjoy every time.

IMPIOUS BAPTISM delivers a raw album that many listeners in this realm constantly look forward to, so do your ears a favor and indulge in the dark arts that spawn from listening to "Wrath of the Apex Predator".
