Somewhere between the countless AC / DC clones and straight ahead traditional Metal of GRAVE DIGGER reside a tier of German bands like GUN BARREL, no frills, Metal loving entities that defy easy description / categorization, and as such, fall between the crack when it comes to promotion and press coverage, yet fill clubs any/every weekend. Anyone remember THUNDERHEAD?

Following an intro, the title track clicks into form, the locomotive chug of guitars and drums perfectly syncopated. "Dancing On Torpedoes" has more of a Sunset Strip swagger (as does the concluding "Big Taboo"), complete with Axl Rose impersonation. "Diamond Bullets" is the kind of simple, infectious upbeat tune that should be huge (outside of strip club runways)! Speaking of bump n grind, follow-up "With Might & Main" should bring a smile to rockers, even without visual accompaniment. Sing-along, driving music or party anthems, GUN BARREL rarely misses the target.
