Australian death/doom quintet INVERLOCH is set to release its highly-anticipated full-length debut Distance | Collapsed in just over two weeks via Relapse Records. The band harnesses the crushing, atmospheric spirit of its predecessor diSEMBOWELMENT on the new track "From The Eventide Pool," which can be streamed now via Invisible Oranges HERE. Invisible Oranges' Jon Rosenthal commented on the track,
"With this song, Inverloch carries a great weight and deep sadness – the great giant has awoken and is despondent. Sandwiched between two of Distance | Collapsed's more rabid, death metally moments, 'From The Eventide Pool' acts as a bit of a respite, but only superficially. The raw emotion carried throughout this glacial track sets it in a different category of heaviness: the impenetrable, inescapable darkness of depression."
Recently, Inverloch premiered the single "The Empyrean Torment" via indie music portal Stereogum, which can be streamed now AT THIS LOCATION. The album's title track, "Distance Collapsed (In Rubble)," also premiered this past January via Decibel Magazine and can be streamed at THIS LOCATION.
Distance | Collapsed will see a global release on CD/LP/Digital via Relapse Records on March 4th, 2016. Physical preorders, including limited edition bundles, can be purchased via Relapse.com at THIS LOCATION, and digital preorders are available via the band's Bandcamp page HERE.
Additionally, Inverloch has just announced a run of European dates with Relapse labelmates Usnea this coming April. The band has also been confirmed for the legendary Roadburn Festival in The Netherlands this coming April alongside Neurosis,Tau Cross, and many others, and will be performing at SWR Barroselas Metal Fest in Portugal this coming April.
