Eisregen - Krebskolonie (Reissue)
October 25, 2025
EISREGEN could, would and should have benefitted from an even better and more explosive sound, especially for a reissue. Now it’s just a bit too tame, almost like it has been dulled by too many blows.

Warrant - The Speed Of Metal
September 21, 2025

Helstar - The Devil's Masquerade
September 17, 2025
The music on “The Devil's Masquerade” also is just about the best that I have heard from HELSTAR in a long time. This is pure class.

The Rods - Wild Dogs Unchained
September 5, 2025
Their eleventh album “Wild Dogs Unchained” hit the streets on 5 September 2025, just one year after the latest one, which is quite fast in today’s market. And again, there is enough to enjoy. In the 52:38 minutes that THE RODS fire their brand of Heavy metal at you there is no choice. You either love what they do, or it just doesn’t rock your boat.

Call Of Charon – Tales Of Tragedy
August 19, 2025
“Tales Of Tragedy” focusses on blood-freezing melodies and atmospheres, all based on punishing guitar riffs, tempo switches, relentless and hammering drumming, and a vocalist who keeps everything well together with his versatility
review
Schädlich & Söhne – Zweckpessimismus
January 29, 2025
What I always have found, and which is definitely accentuated and confirmed on “Zweckpessimismus” is that the German language surely is the best one to select when you wish to get across your messages across in a very dark and menacing way.

Magic Kingdom - Blaze Of Rage
January 29, 2025
Let me start by saying that Epic Symphonic Power Metal can not function without a good sound. Well, that part is covered nicely, as the production is top notch. Mr. Dushan Petrocci can be proud of what he has achieved on this MAGIC KINGDOM record.

Paragon – Metalation
December 23, 2024
There is no doubt what kind of music PARAGON plays. It is Teutonic Heavy Metal through and through. This is just as German as the Oktoberfest, Currywurst and Bratwurst. “Metalation” is the fourteenth studio album the band has made since 1994, and I have to say that it is a belter.
review
Empires Of Eden - Guardians Of Time
December 23, 2024
This is Epic Orchestral Heavy Metal with a lot of external influences that ensure that variety and diversity is rather high on the list of achievements when it comes to “Guardians Of Time”.

In just over 40 minutes HOLY MOTHER have impressed me more than I would have thought possible.
review
Illdisposed - In Chambers Of Sonic Disgust
August 20, 2024
I can mention is that once you have the music entering your ears either through your headphones or the open air, you will be able to immediately distinguish which band you are listening to. Is that a bad thing? Not at all, as a lot of bands would love to be recognised at first tone.

Thornbridge – Daydream Illusion
June 3, 2024
There have been some absolute masterpiece concept albums that will live forever in hard rock and heavy metal music history, so when the German band THORNBRIDGE decided to dip their feet in that pool on the latest release “Daydream Illusion”, I dropped the needle down and cranked the speakers in hopeful anticipation.
