interview
Sean McBay - (Sandstone)
November 15, 2021
Every album is a personal journey of a songwriter, or a band of songwriters, whether life stories, or imagination gone wild, it is all there. There is no specific point in a songwriter's career where he tells himself that he has to better, there is no such thing. It is an inner feeling that is each to his / her own. Sandstone, the British Metal band returning with a new album, made an immense impact with a creative new album, "Epsilon Sky". Steinmetal had to find out on what was that all about, and had a good talk with frontman, Sean McBay

interview
Tomas Nilsson - (Zornheym)
November 14, 2021
Writing a story is a challenge, yet writing and producing a story into a musical piece, especially a kind of tale that is supposed to sweep people off their feet into a bellyful of horrors, now that is a sort of a test of bravery. The universe of Zornheim, which was forged seven years ago is advancing, constantly developed, paving the road to a form of horror that is a test to the human condition. Following an amazing debut, Tomas Nilsson and Co. continued with a second episode, titled "The Zornheim Sleep Experiment". It is guaranteed that there will be no sleep while listening to this. Steinmetal had to find out what is beyond the gate of the Asylum, while Nilsson is leading the way.

interview
Jef Wouters - (Rebel's End)
October 26, 2021
Even if the present demands more complexion, a way out of the simple things that are more or less the same every time, it doesn't really have to be that way. When it comes to the livelihood of Rock N' Roll, being simple, to the point, straightforward, without beautifying it, is an important message for everyone to take into account, even if we aren't in the 80s anymore. Rebel's End, mashing a barrage of styles in their music, take no prisoners, simply having fun in an evilized kind of way. Due to the release of their new album "Sing To The Devil", Steinmetal wanted to explore further and had a chat with Jef Wouters.
interview
A.J. Van Drenth - (Extreme Cold Winter)
October 23, 2021
Slow, full of depth, consuming nearly with each chord, presenting that not all is Green, but rather dark and Grey. Nonetheless, there is a shred of hope within the fog of uncertainty. Things may come around, but with there are dependencies that cannot be denied. Extreme Cold Winter, a Death / Doom Metal project, which lays the lines of sorrow and gloom, including several positive notes out of the desperation, delivered a potential to be reckoned with, "World Exit", which also conjures a sense of belief and soul searching. Steinmetal had the pleasure to talk to A.J. Van Drenth, founder of the project, in a conversation about belief, the record, and more…

Being constant because it is fun, being together as one because there are partners for the long haul, those that their energy levels as if never to be depleted. Gilbert Dornhofer - (Fearancy)
September 17, 2021
New faces, a new voice, a new sound, a new frontier to look for, a new image for an artist to get a hold of. It is a natural process, in particular when fresh blood is recruited. At times to freshen up the efforts, and at times simply because it is a necessity. The Austrian Fearancy as if felt the need that the lineup had to change and their new album "Dæmonium", proves that point. Furthermore, the band signed with a label, in order to kickstart the buzz and from there on, their only way is up. Steinmetal had a good chat with one of the band's founders, Gilbert Dornhofer, about his side of things concerning the record
