Frank Prilipp - (Powertryp)
March 7, 2022
It is like being shot back, by a cannon, to the golden years of Metal, where it was celebrated by so many around the world. Tuning up to the newcomer German Heavy Metal band, Powertryp, it was a sight, or signal, for sore ears, hard to comprehend that it wasn't 1985 anymore. Releasing their debut album, "Midnight Marauder", old school Metal surely received a fine boost to its revival process, and one would have to guess who took care of the sound. Steinmetal had a good talk with the band's bass player, Frank Prilipp, about how it was all done and what makes it special.

ARÐ - (Mark Deeks)
March 4, 2022
When not looking into the common taught history, but rather sinking deep into lesser known chapters of one's heritage, there is a sense of exploration, to find out more. Metal music has been an integral part of how to profoundly emphasize most of mankind's early natures and rougher attitudes. Needless to say that the heavier form of music captures the dramatic flavors of history with a convincing manner. Focusing on English history, Winterfylleth's Mark Deeks created ARÐ, swimming in Doom Metal, exploring individuals that aren't of common knowledge. Steinmetal had a chance to talk with Mark about the band's new album, "Take Up My Bones", its essence, musical journey and more…

interview
Maik Huber - (Tension)
February 11, 2022
An insight in regards to what is our role in the universe, or let's say in the planet. We, as people, have a lot of wish to bloom, to develop, to reach for the stars, and in the future even to build ourselves in them. With a lot of aspirations, there is also that reality check, and that is what are we doing now, or what have we been doing. Is there a care for ourselves, and our surroundings? Tension's Maik Huber appears worried about the decay process, and his band just released their new album "Decay". Steinmetal had a good talk with Maik about the album, and its Heavy Metal exploration

interview
Joe Parkinson - (Tortured Demon)
February 2, 2022
Thrash trio
TORTURED DEMON
have taken the UK by storm and firmly imprinted the thrash underground with their progressive thrashcore vibe, notably in their debut album release,
"In Desperation's Grip".
Barely out of school, these rambunctious musicians prove that age is merely a number, and talent speaks for itself. Having already floored Bloodstock in 2021, opening for
XENTRIX
and smashing the shit out of their own headliner, the lads have also been personally selected by
EVILE
to join them on tour, after seeing their unflinching ability to wreck necks and wreak havoc.
Leanne Evans
, Editor for
Metal Temple
, caught up with the band's drummer
Joe Parkinson
to talk more about the band's dynamics and the foundations of
TORTURED DEMON
and see what the next step is. Mark our words,
TORTURED DEMON
is a well-oiled, hefty thrash machine with a MASSIVE future ahead; these lads are set for BIG things!

Tassos Krokodilos - (Spitfire)
January 22, 2022
Keeping a certain flow of music for decades that is quite a challenge, especially when a band isn't necessarily career driven. Life can be kind, yet life can also be unexpected, things can change, and what life brings can affect every decision made, even when it comes to a music career. Spitfire have been legendary in Greece due to a debut album that made them a name, yet it has been hard to keep a stream of music flowing. They returned once, and now once again, but this time, proving that had all the tools in order to make something big. That something is called "Denial To Fall". Steinmetal had a chat with the band's new vocalist, and promise, Tassos Krokodilos, about his experience from the new album
