Thorben Rathje - (Cambion)
March 21, 2021
Taking it up to the next level and not letting go, to go above and beyond, and there you have the technical stuff that has been right there but without too much notice. Thorben Rathje, the guitarist, and awesome shredder, of Cambion unraveled the story of their new album "Conflagrate The Celestial Refugium" and even gave a few explanations about the new prospect. Cambion is about to set off with its new release and it was the right time to ask the questions, some of them are harder than others. interview
Sheikh Spitfire - (Witchseeker)
February 28, 2021
Out of experience, and knowing bands as such, it is never easy to be a Metal musician in a small country, needless to say a small island. Moreover, it is hard to be on a wave of Metal that the larger part of the Metal scene simply is not on. Call it survival or endurance, it doesn't contribute to motivation that much. But, whoever is up to stand up for it is believed to be good and in quality, why not? Witchseeker, of the island of Singapore, are doing the impossible, a Heavy Metal band within a small extreme Metal driven scene. However, they made it happen and now are releasing their sophomore album, "Scene Of The Wild", through Dying Victims Productions. Steinmetal had a chat with band founder, Sheikh Spitfire, about the nature of the band, being kind of isolated, the new album and more…

Gou Takeuchi - (Significant Point)
February 13, 2021
East or West, it doesn't matter, Heavy Metal is for everyone, and being the so called minority in a scene that is somewhat different, and not giving up, is like being a kind of a champion. There have been plenty of cases where it didn't matter, it would have been best just to put an idea aside and let it fade. But, when passion kicks in, nothing can defeat it and it will triumph. The Japanese old school Metalheads, Significant Point, had their goals set in front of them, and they made their first step, signing in Europe and onwards to their debut album, "Into The Storm", where the 80s reign. Steinmetal had a chat with founder Gou Takeuchi about the new album, the European front, influences and passion for the music.

Rick Metal & Zellpike - (Hellspike)
January 7, 2021
There is a lot of anger going in, in particular with the ongoing pandemic that has been spreading, and the end, even if it is somewhere over the rainbow, is still not in reach. Therefore, a wholesome of anguish, dismay and disappointment as things could have been done differently to help others, ease the pain, ease the suffering of isolation and near loss of control. The newcomer Portuguese band, Hellspike, comprised of veterans raising the flag of old school Metal, have a lot to share with their listeners, their attacking form against society's crumbling. Following their debut album, via Metal On Metal Records, "Lords of War", there are morals and lessons to learn. Steinmetal had a chance to talk with Rick Metal and Zellpike of the band, and they had a lot on their minds, the current situation, their vision and the new album.
