At the Somber Steps to Serenity
Xorsist
More of the same in terms of Swedish Death Metal.
Killing Machine
Sacrifix
Face the Olçd School Thrash Metal attack from these slaughters from São Paulo, and blow your ears off!
Point of No Return
Michael Catton
The first album solo of Michael catton is really a great surprise!
Primal Forces
La Chinga
This Canadian band that has a lot of to offer to Rock 'n' Roll and Hard Rock fans. Come on, take a bit on this album!
Antithesis
Hatematter
A blend between Modern Metal, Melodic Death Metal and more can be found on this precious release! It shines with life!
Electric Jihad
Dictator Ship
This album is so fun that is able to make you forget the problems... A true Rock 'n' Roll experience!
Live By the Sword
Cardinals Folly
This Swedish Doom Metal trio has a lot to offer, indeed...
Hittin’ the Target
Bürner
What about some dirty Hard Rock/Rock 'n' Roll free of compromisses that isn't to give and have fun?
Regeneration
Guhts
This was indeed a deeply emotional album. The music painted a picture of failure and regret, and the vocals more along the lines of anguish and torture.
Parasomnia
Dead Cosmonauts
If you give it a chance, this album can vibe with the most staunch Metalhead, because it wields various shades of sonority like a wizard crafting spells. The key are the swells and retreats, as they are very well placed, and the result is an album that is vibrant, alive, contemplating, and energizing.
Songs for Satan
Dopelord
Get ready for a trip south of heaven as we serenade Beelzebub from the land that brought us pierogi’s, Madam Curie and Mike “Meathead” Stivic, delivering hypnotic stoner/doom metal.
Solsorte
Blackbird Angels
Tracii Guns (LA GUNS) is back with a mission to deliver straight forward rock and roll influenced by the music he grew up worshipping as a teenager.
Chief City
Chief City
This was a fairly typical Sludge/Stoner Doom album that showed peaks of creativity, and was easy to enjoy. I always applaud a new band’s debut effort, because it takes a lot to get there. For their next outing, if they can work in more of their own unique personality, it could go a long way.
Dark Parade
Cirith Ungol
CIRITH UNGOL’s sixth full-length studio album is dark, down, and mean.
This Heathen Land
Green Lung
Maybe it’s all the folk horror I’ve been binging, but GREEN LUNG has never sounded better.
Crypt of Ancestral Knowledge
Wolves In The Throne Room
Although only four songs long, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM remind the listener that they have power, creativity, excitement, and a deep well of songwriting skills. They take advantage of pushing every boundary the genre has to offer, while staying true to their roots and the traditions of the genre, and prove that American Black Metal is just as vital as their overseas genre mates.
Pegasus
Dayshell
I was mostly impressed with the care and attention that Shayley put into this album. The personal touch is unabashedly his, and he doesn’t care what critics may think about it or how genre purists might label it. Arden enough for most Metalheads, but also melodic and catchy, in a nutshell, it’s just damn good music.
Global Worming
Endseeker
ENDSEEKER deliver traditional, Swedish inspired Death Metal with the typical chainsaw guitar sound and a smart mixture of fast, mid-tempo, and slower tracks
Breath Of The Tomb
Left To Rot
LEFT TO ROT leave a promising mark on the Death Metal market and traditional Death Metal fans will dig "Breath Of The Tomb"
Mea Cupla
Frozen Wreath
What does a frozen wreath signify? A wreath is a symbol of victory, hope, and love. A frozen one suspends these elements forever. The band’s title reflects these feelings very well, and after I listen to it, I have to shake off the chill.
Heartrot
Bjørkø
Solo albums from musicians from well-known bands can be hit or miss…but this one’s a hit. Tomi reaches deep into his pockets and produced an album rich in diversity and several different styles. Critics could argue that it lacks an overall sense of identity, but I believe that is where the magic lies.
The Long War
Bull Elephant
At its core it was Doom, but they band refused to be held by the sometimes narrow borders that define the genre. Instead, they expanded out into uncharted territory, The album was engaging, and the musicianship strong. The production was right where it should be, and this is an example of high quality Doom Metal.
Pestilence
Draconicon
Draconicon is back with their second release directly from Italy.
Welcome to the Show
Stonemiller Inc.
If someone asks if the 80s Hard Rock can be updated to the present keeping its elements, show this person this album!
Throne of Grief
Tumanduumband
A brutal form of Sludge/Doom Metal, done in an experimental and different way.
Last Rites/The Final Blessing
St. Madness
And the North Amrican madness spreads its wings again on this nnew release of the quartet. Fun, weight and good music, so what are you waiting for?
Land of the Greeks
Pagan Throne
The Greek myths and more on the new release of this Brazilian Pagan Black Metal act.
Silence By The Raging Sea
Occult Hand Order
Maybe one can be seeing the birth of Progressive Stoner Metal/Rock on this release of the band.
Wrath of the Witch
Corrosive
A Death Metal opera for all the world to hear!
What a God Could Be
72 Legions
A fine combonation between melodic Death Metal and modern Metal elements can be found here.
Joker And Clowns
Blade
Finland brings back the Hard Rock from the 80/90’s .
Hungering Inside
Miara
Let’s start with the positives. Many band in this style stumble early on trying to push the Death side of the genre over the Melodic side, but MIARA is equally adept at both. If it wasn’t for the founding fathers of the genre existing, I would love this sound. As it is however, it is just too much of a copy of these bands without anything original to offer fans.
Buried Giant
In A Forest Dark
This album was a good combination of the depressive qualities of Doom with the vile hatred of Black Metal. Harrowing elements were also sprinkled in to give the album a dangerous edge.
Beyond the Veil
Suicide Puppets
“Beyond the Veil” from SUICIDE PUPPETS is a deep dive into the serial killer mind.
Pain Therapy
Conspiracy of Blackness
CONSPIRACY OF BLACKNESS is back with a revitalized line-up and a redoubled focus.
