Wednesday 13 - Bloodwork album cover

Wednesday 13 is a rather unique and multitalented person in the Metal/Rock scene. He is definitely a restless spirit and has a huge pile of releases with different bands and projects out there, many of them belonging to totally different music genres. I guess he is a classic love or hate case for the average metalhead. Some see him as a talentless faggot, while others a bright musician. I guess that I am going for the second opinion...

Who can forget his incredible releases with his main band MUDERDOLLS or the kick ass release he did with BOURBON CROW, a totally wasted album full of alcoholic Southern Rock tunes that you should definitely check out! So, after a weird story that delayed the actual release of the Bloodwork EP, it is time for it to be physically available to the fans.

In 2008 someone sent iTunes a file that contained this EP instead of the Skeletons album. The EP remained fully downloadable and the release of the album was delayed. The band then was in a dilemma on whether the EP would receive a CD release or not. Finally they came to the conclusion that the EP will be available as a CD release during the band's US tour which started on July 1, 2008. The EP though is still available for download through iTunes.

Anyway, Bloodwork is a release that will appeal mostly to the fans of the band, since it contains six tracks, including two unreleased songs (B-Movie Babylon and Return Of The Living Dead), a TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS cover (Runnin' Down A Dream), a re-recording of I Love To Say Fuck and acoustic renditions of two songs off Wednesday 13's Skeletons album (My Demise and Skeletons). About the re-recording of I Love To Say Fuck, Wednesday 13 stated that fans could not find it easily, so he just did it to make it available to them.

Since it is a fans only release I can't say that I should review or just present it. I guess that people who have nothing to do with Wednesday 13 and his work will find nothing interesting in here. Only fans and collectors will be impatient to lay their hands on Bloodwork. So if you want to complete your Wednesday 13 recorded output collection, go get it. Otherwise, save your money for something else.
