The Australian scenery for many years has been a cradle for new bands and in every aspect, year after year I'm surprised with new albums, musicians, and bands always on a growing wave.  As far as I can see Doom, Death, and Black metal are not out of the way and a good example is the Doom/Black metal TYRANNIC band that started their journey in 2010 but only now puts their first full-length "Ethereal Sepulcher" on sale on Séance Records on August 27, 2018 .

Although it is not a very long album with only 4 tracks, two of them have more than 12 minutes and the other two more than 6 minutes, all in a total of 39:25.  "Serpent Scythe" starts with robust and obscure guitars, an energetic drumming and latent "R" cries, vocal lines that often change accompanied by an intriguing guitars presence, the drummer's work completes the context. From this moment the vocal becomes cadenced and increasingly somber with brief elements of Doom added to everything.

"Possession of Accursed Inheritance" is a really long track starting with a grim introduction before the treble of the lead singer adds screams as gloomy as the previous track and an intriguing detail is how the drum lines jump into the band in such a brutal way.  The guitars nevertheless take the lead taking the whole vocal line to the bottom.  All the sonority becomes really abysmal and in many moments they pick up the elements of the Doom and the organ ending brings even more melancholy to this band that is a present for those who like Black Metal Old School.

"Tyrannic Deluge" is the trump card in this album, a voracious piece of Black metal with corpulent and aggressive instrumentation, glittering guitars coordinated with grubby noises and fantastic time variants that give this track everything that archaic style lovers really seek. The album approaches the end with "Ethereal Sepulcher" and brings some differences with narrated passages, but continues taking all the sonority of the band more and more down.  Throughout the album, the sensation is of anguish and lamentation.  Considering the two previous demos of the band it is evident that they have evolved a lot in 'Ethereal Sepulcher' but without losing the true essence of style.
