Get ready, ya'll! Here comes "And The Battle Of Royale" by THE UNGUIDED. This epic-fantasy album has been long anticipated for fans and it is full of heavy, galloping melodic death riffs, catchy choruses, and explosive synthesizers that will welcome any newcomers to THE UNGUIDED fan base. "And The Battle Of Royale" was released on November 10th 2017 by Napalm Records. THE UNGUIDED has capitalized on perfecting their sound with "And The Battle Of Royale" while remaining loyal to their core sound. It appears with a few tweaks, smoothing of the edges, replacements, we get to experience something like "And The Battle Of Royale," something fans have been waiting for since SONIC SYNDICATE and the departure of Roland.

Let's begin with the review!  Fan favorite, "The Heartbleed Bug," instantly grips you and pulls you in! A song with high energy, solid guitar and drum work, with melodic vocals that make the track flow seamlessly. The lyrics still need some improvement as I feel they are cliché and generic. Next strong track is "Legendary." This track appeals to me more than the previous tracks. The vocals are mixed better, they are melodic yet powerful. The intro is interesting and kind of reminds me of a video game I have played before. I just can't put my finger on it at the moment. But it has the video game -like essence to it. I think the fans who miss Roland's vocals will greatly appreciate this song and will find comfort in knowing that the flame of THE UNGUIDED continues to burn fiercely. I still do not like the lyrics, though. Ugh, they honestly make me cringe.

I absolutely loved the track, "King's Fall." It is dynamic, catchy, and perfected in such an elegant way. The lyrics are better in this track, and the music is awe-inspiring. Well done. Overall, fans will mourn for their beloved Roland, but if you are a fan of THE UNGUIDED, Richard deserves a chance to be heard. We all hate change and the thought of replacing a vocalist can be dreadful, but not at all change is bad. As for me personally, the album was alright. There was nothing that really stood out to me that made me want to run out and buy it immediately. I'll listen to this album if it came on Pandora, or my Amazon music, but that's how far it will go for me.
